it could by myceclum. since verm has no nutrients, the only possible thing that i can think of is that the mycecium went up into the verm layer, since it will channel nutrients throughout itself. nothing else would be able to get nutients to live on it.

just in case, i hope you put it in a separate terrarium to prevent the other cake from becoming infested until you are sure.

I seperated it into a 2 liter bottle for now.
For some reason I think it is probably not cobweb mold.
If it starts to grow shrooms how can I tell if it's ok? What are some symptoms of cobweb contamination? I guess I'll watch for color changes.

cakes rarely get mold, so just grow it, dont through it out.
