Stories of high school drug assemblies

Post your story of a high school drug assembly you attended and the bullshit they said. Here is mine...

So it was my senior year and a few months before id ever tried any drug. It was a required assembly that the whole school had to attend. The guy comes in. He tells us hes former DEA and that hes here to not lie to us and to give us the truth no matter what.

This was a few years ago so memory is kinda hazy but one thing that stuck out was when he asked us all if weve ever done mushrooms. some people raise their hand and he tells them to put it down cause they've never tried it. He says that anyone who thinks theyve done shrooms is wrong and he said that dealers go to a grocery store and buy mushrooms and then dip them in lsd and he knows that for a fact because according to him mushrooms dont naturally grow in alabama(wrong as fuck). Me being an uneducated non drug user believed him.

He then starts talking about flashbacks and how years after doing acid youll be driving and a tree will just appear in the middle of the street and thats a flashback.

Much more was said but i dont remember cause it was irrelevant to me at the time.

At the end he took our questions and no one had the balls to called him out out on the stuff he said. That day i left the room thinking im definitively not doing drugs now.

he said he used to go undercover to bust coke dealers and im sure he said tons of crazy bs that i didnt catch cause i knew nothing of drugs at the time.

When I was 14 or 15 there was a cop talking to us in school about drugs. I didn't know anything about drugs at that time and wasn't particularly interested, yet some inner feeling told me he was bullshitting us. However, I didn't really care at that point.

I remember him talking about a girl at a party who popped a pill thinking it contained MDMA (he just said it was an ecstasy pill). After feeling no effects for one hour or so, she popped another one and died later.
He then said that the pill contained something that would delay its effects and it was the rat poison that's usually in E pills that killed her. :facepalm:

Actually this always reminds me of those three things:
a) Many cops are way to dumb to reasonably talk with them about drug policy.
b) Harm reduction and drug testing saves lifes.
c) We have to legalize all drugs and educate their users.
