i dont know why everyone is so supersticious of them. I just dont get them cause I color coordinate my lighters with what i'm wearing or my piece, and not to much white is in there  :tongue:

i haven't read everyone's yet, but those are great.

I've heard the lighters thing, but it was red lighters. Red (bic) lighters with the red tab thing (to let the gas come out for the flame). To make it not back luck you were supposed to break the tab off. I had a red lighter and someone broke the tab off w/o my permission and i was like "um...yeah, i don't believe in that crap, thanks for messing it up".

But once after school a few years ago, me and my friend were walknig around teh block hitting a chillum. I was taking my hit and i looked through a window and saw an old lady staring at me and saw her pick up a phone so we rushed down the block and cut through a yard. This one house looked empty so i stopped to take my next hit and in the middle of that the person in the house let out their 2 dogs on us, so we ran, and then my friend was taking his hit on the otherside of the block and right as he took the pipe down a cop roled by. This was all with my red bic lighter, but if it were such bad luck i guess we woulda gotten busted.

Stupid rumors are funny to here, but when you try to correct stupid ones (for example stems of mushrooms causing bad trips) and the person is SO ignorant about it, it's really annoying and sucks.



I've heard people say "after you take acid, whenever you crack your back you have a flash back..." and shit like that.

Once this senior to a freshman told him that you could eat stems and get high. So the freshman bought a stem fromt he senior for 15 dollars and ate it...i don't know what he said about it getting him high or not, if he said he got stoned he's a dumbass...well the kid already was a dumbass.

Man those kind of superstitions piss me off the worse...I knew a girl once that was convinceD that acid left calcium deposits or something to that effect on your spine, she said that a doctor had even pointed it out in an x-ray of her back once and that he had known what they were and that she had taken acid......she was also convince that if you cracked your back it could cause a flashback...I tried to explain to her how this main no fucking sense at all, but she'd have none of it. I mean I've got a million stories of people believing bullshit like this, and the people who believe this will never listen if you try to tell them otherwise....I mean never. That's whay gets me the most is that they just won't listen to reason.

I knew this guy who ate an 8th of nuggets to get high. He said he got really high, but i was under the impression that you have to cook the weed into something. Correct me if i'm wrong.


Or i know some peolpe that eat roaches. Even if that get's you high, i'm nto bothering doing that, sounds like it would taste nasty.

And someone over the weekend told me to mix bong water with something and drink it and i was like i'll pass on that.

i think they are all red, but it's the red lighter, so the red on red is bad luck, so that's why people would break the tab off of the red bic lighter. THen it's not red on red anymore. It's somethign likethat, i don't know, i don't care, i just wanna get high and any lighter that creates a flame that can spark my bowl/joint i'm fine.

Yeah you do have to cook the pot with a lipid (i.e. fat) for example cooking it into butter, or making bhang with milk. And I've seen people who eat their roaches too, which I've seen take on a superstition of it's own.

ya you need to cook weed with some sory of lipid
because thc isnt water souluble its fat souluble
but you can get high of just eating weed
it just takes alot more and would be harder to get down probly :smile:

iv never seen anyone eat a roach but i have heard of drinking bong water
a freind of mine tried that last time we used her bong
she sayed it tasted like flowers , because when her bong in not in use its a flower vause

yeah.

A really funny one that i ahve heard is if you take too big of a hit you could die. Sure, maybe that could happen if you were smoking the most gigantic bowl ever and had like pounds of weed forced into your lungs, but with a .something gram bowl thats not gonna happen, unless you have some weird disease where if you smoke weed you die? Or if you hold your hit in too long you will pass out or something. So much ridiculous stuff.

My cousin didn't smoke weed at first because he thought you could OD from it. He thought of weed as a really dangerous drug at first.

yes, you need to cook weed with some kind of lipid (fat) for it to be efficient at all. Of course you could just eat it dry (unless you have a live plant), but its better to let the thc soak into some fats / oils, because it breaks down easier, and you don't need as much.

I have also drank bong water. I used to have a tiny little bowl (about the size of a lighter) that had a bowl, tube, and a small glass jar-chamber with a black rubber stopper in the top. It held maybe 1/4 the amount of fluid that comes in a visine bottle (for comparison only). This is when I was probably around 14-15, but after I was done smoking, I would drink it (less than 1/2 ounce). I don't recall it tasting good, but I was positive it got you higher. I wouldn't do it again, unless its a double dare; or money / etc is involved.

About OD on weed, its very possible. You will get dizzy / sick / goto sleep.

About a FATAL OD on weed, this was actually researched and posted in Time Magazine about 3-4 years ago. Turns out you need to smoke over 2 tons of marijuana in one sitting (one day) to get a fatal overdose of THC, but you would suffocate from all the smoke first, so yes, it is impossible to die from smoking weed (unless you get cancer, than thats a diff. story, but also debatable).
