what can you do against a pitbull who has been trained to fight.

your alone walking during the night in some unknown location with noone around , suddenly you see a huge ass pitbull staring you dead on. what can you do? can barking loud scare it away? or make it more aggresive. i by no means am scared of dogs but i know some friends that are which the doggy smells. further what would you do if it charged at you? kick it? run? i would prob give it a quick facekick and try and put my 2 hands on its neck and pushhhhhh.

you can't do shit.

a pitbull attacked some couple here a while ago, they had to stab the dog to stop the attack, they showed the dog right after it happened and he was still on his feet.

wtf really? the dog weights about half of a human or less. why can you grab the sucker with both hands by the neck and choke it or pick it up and slam it into concrete? all you have to worry about is the head so if you can focus on that cant u have a chance? and lol with a knife ill cut the sucker in half. but my other question was will a dog attack a human if he is not afraid and never retreats? i had a wild ass pitbull back in my old country and he tried to kill anyone on site , when a mailman delivered something i yelled and told him to gtfo before my dog attacked him , he simply smiled and said he was not afraid of dogs. the dog did nothing.

i got chased by 3 dogs once, a pit a chow and a chow lab mix. i was down the street from my house so i got lucky. but the pit got kicked in the head right before i got inside he was about to get me. was scary as hell. my mom was on the front porch yelling for me to run. and once while tripping i came upon an intersection as i walked thought it i saw 2 pits one in a fence one out. the one outside started growling and i yelled at it. the one behind the fence flipped the fuck out! hauled balls that time too. he was so mad i yelled at his bitch.. i guess i would say run, or climb something if possible.

What would you do?


first, have you done what you just advised? or seen it in effect and how it worked out?
unless you're a marine shinobi lvl99 wizard i doubt a person suddenly attacked by a trained pitbull will use the Two Thumbs method with a charging beast. most people will freak the fuck out and try just to survive.

i think the best you can do is climb the nearest tree.

Don't run. Basically you have two places to strike a large dog before he can fuck you up.
Start with one arm above your head and bring your palm down on the top of its snout in a smacking motion.
The head should naturally come up then, and you have a fraction of a second to tighten your grip around the snout and upper teeth while using your free hand to secure the lower jaw by grabbing it around the cheek area squeezing the dogs own jowls between its teeth.

You will then get scratched by the paws and have to wrestle him in a strong side to side thrashing motion. You can prevent damage by quickly using your legs to lift the dog upward with your hands firmly in the same place. At this point the dog will be pretty pissed off.

If your life is in danger (like if its a big angry stray or something) you now need to kill it. When it comes down land on the ribs with a knee. Alternatively you can try to break the jaw with opposing pressure on the upper and lower jaw. This will also kill the dog.

If you can avoid going hand to hand you will be better off. If you miss the initial move you are going to get mauled pretty bad. Once the dog becomes this violent it will pretty much be impossible to get it to submit to you.

If you don't need to kill it to be able to walk away at the end don't try, dogs dont acknowledge pain when they are fighting. A good week spot is their rear legs. A normal sized guy should be able to swing a dog by a rear leg. From there, focus on creating distance. Injuring an animal is not a good way to avoid more of a fight.

Don't be cruel to animals. Don't be in a situation where you could have avoided confrontation with something that will have no remorse or ethical considerations and wants to rip you to pieces.

If you have the time: Wrap your shirt, coat, or sweater around one of your arms and try to get the dog to bite that somewhat protected arm.  With the other hand reach for your pocket knife you always carry and go to town.
