That's kind of a moot point. That person is expecting the NFL to levy punishment similar to a court.

Most of those examples are from issues OUTSIDE of football. Hence things like prison time for alot of them.

What Sean Peyton did was INSIDE of football. Hence the bulk of his punishment came by the NFL and not a court of law.

And what Bill Belichick did was not really worse. Considering you're allowed to record opposing signals from the box. He simply did it from the sideline.

Sean Payton's case is a lot more ambiguous than Williams. Williams IS fired forever.

Remember, others in the NFL have openly broken the rules much more brazenly, and had a much bigger role. Granted, the offense is more serious here than in other cases, but Sean Payton's sole offense is lack of administrative oversight, not orchestrating this or even really having that much knowledge of it.

Pro sports have ridiculously low standards. Baseball players throwing shit at fans and keeping their jobs. Basketball players punching fans. Football players beating up and raping women. Coaches breaking rules left and right. If you worked for an airline or Kinkos or Federal Express or drove a cab or worked as a nurse or a teacher or whatever the fuck you would get shit canned for any of this kind of shit- shit canned forever- but in pro sports people miss a few games or a season or whatever and everyone is like 'wow that's so harsh'- but no one gives half a fuck for all the millions of people fired for just looking at their bosses funny at nornal jobs.

i remember you saying that before, and I am curious about the link, and the stats. would like to look at that, and see who took the lead after week 12.

but debate me on this: if the saints had made a "fumble bounty" where they said that the first person to hit the ball carrier so hard that they fumbled the ball..... would there be a problem? If a team is playing within the confines of the rules of the game, then how can they be dirty? sure there were late hits, but no more than any other team in the NFL, and especially none as flagrant or rough as some of the ones i showed earlier.
Can you honestly look at that low hit on favre and say that it was a hard malicious hit meant to hurt him? it wasnt even that bad of a hit, and the only problem was because someone else was behind him, like some inverted schoolboy. now maybe the play was planned like that, but I honestly dont think that any player is going to risk losing money overall to win some bounty pool.
my point is, show me the dirty play. dont try to quantize intent, because you cant. If i were a coach, i would hope that my guys are hitting people as hard as they can, legally, and if i got a little more juice out of them by throwing some money in a pot, then fine.

LS and especially Vikings fans are the ones who think that this is some conviction of Dirty play, but all it is is a perfect storm of 1) making an example, 2) setting precedent for an upcoming court case involving the NFL and injuries, 3) lying about it. Nowhere is there any proof that the saints played dirty. being excited about favre going to the bench is not dirty playing, just unsportsmanlike. If an MMA fighter said "im gonna kill you" to his opponent before the match, and he actually did legally punch him so hard that he died, do you try him for murder? no, that would be retarded. as long as someone is playing within the rules, there is no cheating, or dirty playing.
