any one have a 93 toyota and do their own clutch latley ???

Lolol I passed SMOG so now I gonna give the lil thing some much needed TLC made SMOG by the max of one of the numbers lol


But needs a clutch bad and wondered if any of the SHROOMERY crowd have gotten their hands greasy doing the clutch on a 93 Toyota wagon yeeeeha

Any tales, or tips

clutch alignment tool. when you do the clutch, have the pressure plate
resurfaced it it appears it may need it, new pilot bearing, Throwout Bearing
and guide sleeve if applicable. last thing you want to do is replaace the
clutch just to have the bearing go out or in the case of the audi quatros
have a phenolic guide sleeve start to expand and make shit inoperable. if the
sleeve is metal, only replace it if it's badly worn

Gonna need a little more info than a 93 toyota wagon. Haha.

I did one on a 91 toyota celica along with a head gasket wasn't too bad.

Note: This isn't my guide, but basically will give you an idea and the what not to do.

in that case replace all the components with something worthwhile, look for
Center Force, Advanced Clutch Technology, Exedy, Ogura Racing, or on the
really high end... SPEC Super Twin. pricing can range from just over the
price of stock at around $350 including the pressure plate and flywheel on up
to around $2000 for a complete set up. jeep in mind the amount of power
you're putting through it will be a defining factor in what you wanna spend

working with just one of the mentioned manyfacurers, ACT.... you have a lot
of options to choose from based on that power

excedy is a good choice, ask if the kit comes with the flywheel before
spending the extra, the Ogura kits usually come with it

a stage 2 clutch kit is all you will need, I do not recommend going to a "pucked" disc, that's for racing applications, for smooth shifting and reliability stick with a circular cevalar disc. Getting a complete clutch kit is a good idea it will come with everything pris said, and f1 racing makes a good clutch kit for the price, check ebay i've bought two of them. And while your down there, check your tranny seals and possibly change out your gear oil, you'll be good shape then.

side note: Most stuborn drive shafts will need an impact wrench or a break over bar to get it free.
