coffee filter instead of tyvek over breather hole?

is it possible to use a patch of coffee filter secured over the air exchange hole in a grain jar, in lieu of using tyvek?

Does tyvek filter that much better?

yea ive read that its ok to use coffee filters as a filter, but they are a pain in the ass! when you pressure cook them they come out soaking wet, and dont dry for a while. goto your local pet store and get some polyfilter.. works great for me =)

Lil Kush.. why do you keep referring back to batman in the first place.

You don't really need anything more then the tinfoil. works for me. If there is slow in growth then turn them upside down to release the co2 and leave it upside for the rest of the colonization period. Tape works well to. and take off one piece of tape.

Anyways I don't really see a great use in coffee filters. but thats only my opinion
