It is, but they aren't as good as the real thing. Do a search on tyvek, it is a pretty good alternative that is easy to find.

Easiest place to get Tyvek, is from the Federal Govt. From what I am told from my Pet Rock's Friend. Go to the Post Office and get some Tyvek envelopes there, there free until you use them to ship something , basically you pay for them in the shipping cost.

This Post was not intended to tell people how to use Tyvek envelopes for purposes other than what it is labeled for"

tyvek has holes, just really really small ones. think about a balloon. can you blow air through a balloon? does a balloon lose air pressure over a period of time? therein lies your answer. you CAN blow through tyvek, just very slowly. you would in effect, have to blow, without releasing pressure, for a very long time to push the volume of air in your lungs through a piece of tyvek.

Tyvek under the lid.............................

Double coffee filters over the lid & jar top, as a dust cover over the Tyvek underneath.

Multi/Spore syringe innoc, day 3

Prototype lid filter...WBS G2G Day 7 (with exterior coffee filters removed)
