I don't know what the deal is. I've been with a couple of girls like this. It's this girl I've been hooking up with and she literally texts me ALL DAY. We were texting last night till like 2 in the morning and I got my first text from her today at 9:50a.m. I ignored it and she text me again at like 3 and we've been talking on and off ever since. I don't get it. We don't even really talk about anything, it's constantly a "Hey whats up....what are you doin?? Oh really?? I'm watchin TV, yea I'm bored...blah blah blah blah blah. I'm always making up excuses not to talk to her but it as soon as my excuse times out she's blowin me up again.....

I'm just tryin to sit here and play guitar and she's relentless with these messages. I don't wanna be rude or anything cause it's free vagina but damn this shit is getting old. She's also like overly emotional?? Idk, I've tried a few times to just be like "hey I don't feel like texting can I just talk to you later??" Then she'll be all like "oh, you don't wanna talk to me huh?? You only wanna talk when you want something." and I'm just thinking YOU TEXT ME CONSTANTLY. I know you guys have to have people that just text like crazy....

I miss talking on the phone at night, this whole constantly being connected to people thing is getting old.

I know what you mean, definitely.
If you like her you just have to tell her "Look, I like spending time with you but when you text me that often, it leads to having nothing to say when we actually meet, plus it distracts me from my daily work ("how about you") plus it gets boring. So combine all those facts, it's really unnerving."

Women who have nothing to say but text a lot are trying to overcompensate their lack of ability of truly relating to a man. It looks pretty immature and unreflected. Some famous psychologist once said "You can not not communicate." Which is true for both of you. She's trying to get rid of showing her true inner self to you by texting you with pointless stuff thinking this is the way to build up a kint of relationship.
YOU are bored and/or annoyed of it and you have two possibilities
a) play this little game and pretend you like it (which I think is wrong)
b) Show her that you don't like it by telling her or by not answering.

Also she wants to manipulate you by that. She's unnerving you all the time, which should be clear to her and when you say you don't like it, she's trying to give you a bad conscience about it like you were just using you. In fact SHE is similarly using YOU stealing your time, building up this pretentious little "relationship" thing, trying to control you.

When you reject this behaviour, you're showing to be more mature and self-confident than her. Although this kind of character strength will annoy her at first sight, she'll feel more attracted to you.
Now you can decide whether you just want to use her or if you see the potential of a real relationship, in the latter case you'll have to work on it, in the first case just keep up the role of the strong man who knows what he wants.
