Salvia D. Experience

Hey guys. I've recently acquired a gram of 10x Salvia extract from SalviaWorld.com. I have researched the drug for many months now, and have had many successful mushroom experiences. A friend and I are planning on smoking it on a camping trip, probably around the fire at night. Its just us two, plus a sitter. We are all good friends.

I plan to smoke the extract from a pipe, mixed with a little cannabis. I figure .05 grams will be enough for each of us to start with, or is that too high, too low?
I feel prepared (as well as i can be) for the experience, but any advice you might have would be great. I'll update this post with a trip report after it goes down, which should be this friday. Peace.

lemme know if it workds in the pipe tho cause i've had bad luck even in a bong with a torch lighter.

I have heard that with leaves its advisable to use a torch lighter, but with extract, especially the 10x, that a normal light would do as long as the flame was touching the extract during the entire hit. I'll let you know how it goes, we'll have both kinds of lighters and several smoking instruments available. peace.

Still find out the best way first so you don't waste any hits. Torch lighters are the shit, but sometimes the buetain flows out to fast, and it'll blow stuff away. Watch it doesn't blow out of your bowl or your pipe. Lighting with a torch is different then a regular lighter, Hope you know the difference before you start sparking hits...

10X doesn't say too much now, there is a lot of quality difference between different vendors. I hope you get lucky and have some good stuff.
Don't expect too much. I see a lot of first-users on these boards who don't get any effect. Have you read the smoking advice on sagewisdom.org?

I find sitters can be very, very annoying when I'm in Salvia space, so make sure your sitter keeps quiet during your trip unless you ask him to speak.

I ordered a half ounce of salvia once and all it did to me was give me a headache and make me sweat. It's too short to be worth it in my opinion.

Hope you enjoy, I've heard the extract is better.

Oh, and a little cannabis goes good with everything :laugh:

cybrbeast, from reading on different boards, it does seem that the potency between vendors varies greatly. SalviaWorld.com was recommended to me by a couple people, and they seem like a legit operation, so hopefully I will recieve a quality product.

I've read pretty much everything I can find about Salvia on the net, and I've meditated on the decision to try it for a long time. I have a feeling that I will have a breakthrough experience my first time, mainly because my tolerance for other psychedelics is very low (I can have a VERY visual trip on 1 gram of Ecuadors). I suppose theres no way to be sure though, I'll just have to try it.

Thanks for the advice about the sitters, thats something I've been thinking about a lot. Our sitter is a good friend who I feel very comfortable with, but I've heard some negative stories being around others while on Salvia.

My friend is also planning on using Passion Flower to smoke the extract with (he can't smoke herb because of an impending drug test). As far as I know, there aren't any side effects of using Passion Flower with Salvia, is this true? Anyways, I'm rambling...thanks for the advice, I'll be sure and let you guys know how it goes. ive found that .1-.2g of 10x salvia blew me away...as well as all my friends. .5g i think would be too much. however maybe the stuff you have isnt as strong or whatever i dont know......i got mine from ethnobotanix.com in canada when it was still around.

Okay, so I ended up loading a tiny bit of herb into a small pipe and put .04 grams of Salvia on top of it. I held a lighter to the bowl and completely cashed it out in one huge hit, held it in for 40 seconds. Immediately felt very, very stoned. It was definitely something a little different, but obviously not a threshold experience. I intend to smoke .06 a little later this evening.
