the best adive i could give you is to take more then you think you should, cause all that will happen to you is you will not beable to walk and shit, and sometimes thats the best thing for you when you on it. i also recomend covering your face with something like a pillow so there are no distractions. you can have people over and its best that you have a sitter tho i never needed one i have seen others freak out and definatly need one. anyway other then that dont go in public places to get high until your used to it cause its can really fuk with you, unless your not smoking the extract. if its just leaf i'd recoment making extact or throwing it out cause tho you might beable to get high it takes some much smoke in your lungs for such long periods of time that you cant acctually expierence the true buzz.

Well, I tried salvia when I was pretty high on pot to begin with... Other then the dammage that occurs to your lungs (common with any smoked anything) it's alot of fun. I was sitting in a group with 4 or 5 people all were smoking it. My experince was fairly intense. I kept my eyes open and took a *huge* pipe hit and held it in for as long as I could, and just about the end of it the effects kicked in. I could only notice them for a short while, but it was fun. my advice: experement with it, and have fun!

my problem wasnt really with the damage to your lungs, my problem with the leaf is that it seams to take me like 4-5 good tokes that get held in for 3-40 seconds thru a bong with a propane torch when you can hit a .1-.2 of some 15x extract in one toke and just sit back and enjoy, trust me its way. another problem is that there are warnings all over about getting to fuked up and leaving a pipe lit so you need a sitter, if you only have a .2 in the bowl you can finish the whole thing and its not a fire risk while your in another world. seriously tho push the salvia as far as you can go. i have friends that hit the .5 of the 15x and they were so unbelivably fuked. when he sobered up enuff, 6 later he hit it again this time only a .4 and off he went again on his "roller coaster ride" as he explained it tho he was just staring at the wall laying down. alot of people seam to fall over when they get it the first time with the extract because there not expecting it to hit them that hard. im going back to my statement about making extract or throwing it out.

The problem is the smoking...if you grow your own plants (easy as hell to do) you will have a supply of fresh leaf for chewing. The high is more intense though, so I recommend having company.

Salvia Divinorum is quite special. The seeds are almost always totally sterile. The way the plant propagates is by branches falling off. If a branch falls...it sprouts a new plant wherever it lands (if proper nutrients exist in the soil). It is also chemically unique and totally legal (how convenient). So, one can order clippings online from shamanistic supply stores..or from botanical supply shops. "The plants like humidity and moisture, moderate but indirect sunlight and warm temperatures. Salvia divinorum is a very rare plant, being found in only a few ravine locations in the Sierra Mazateca mountains." here's a link to buy living plants: http://www.botanic-art.com/salviaplant.htm

well, I dont know. I disagree. Reality happens whether we percieve it or not. the sun could disappear and we wouldn't know about it for what, like 3 minutes (I dont know if that is accurate, really just an example). So the reality of the matter is that the sun is gone, but we percieve that it still exists. the same can be said for everything. Who's to say that the way our brain processes our senses is true to the actual nature of the world? but that is my opinion, and you are entitled to yours. peace.

i agree. just because we don't perceive something happening doesn't mean it doesn't. and i believe it's about an 8 minute trip for a wave to travel from the sun to us.

fyi: savewisdom.org is probably one of the most expensive place you could buy salvia. i like daniel seibert, but his prices are outrageous in my opinion.

Jungle grow is the shit. The best thing to keep in mind with Salvia is that whatever you do to prepare your self will be void once you are in there.

The best tip I have gotten was from the salvia mailing list. They suggest holding the smoke in for a MINIMUM of 20 seconds, if not 30. They say, and my observations seem to agree, that to really get blasted you need a long duration of inhalation.

I got some good recommendations. I am pretty experienced with the sage. I've smoked it about 20 times. Its good to : not be around people, distractions, light, or noise. If these are present you will not go as deep into the experience. The perfect setting: go outside on a warm clear night somewhere away from city lights. Put some blankets down. If you are uncomfortable alone in the dark get a friend who will stay quiet to come with you. Extract is good for this because you dont want to keep hitting it (i recommend extract after trying the leaves to everyone). Take a hit and lay down. Hold that in for 20 secs at least. Hit more if desired. You should have a mindblowing experience. When i did this, I could feel the earth spinning in space. The stars looked trippy, and for a moment I would forget which way was up. I actually felt like I was standing straight up and sometimes upside down. Wow....
