aargh.
i don't really have time to post this...
the larger lepiotas have several deliscious edibles among them,
rachodes, procera, americana... i don't know australian mushrooms, but MOST SMALL LEPIOTAS ARE TO BE AVOIDED AS THERE ARE A NUMBER OF DEADLY SPECIES THAT ARE DEFINITELY RECORDED AS HAVING CAUSED DEATH....

ahh well at least thats an indicator that they are growing in some places in sydney at the moment! i had given up hunting out of frustration recently! will have to get my hunting gloves back on and start looking again :smile:

found some ghost fungus (Pleurotus nidiformis) on the weekend, lll get pics of it soon- awesome lookin shroom with orange centre and purple fibrils on the creamy cap... and luminescent gills! still glowing two days after picking..

Sounds cool ferret - can't wait to see the pics. Today while i was out hunting at this place i found these MASSIVE white mushrooms - the cap must have been about at least 60cm across - and no i wasn't on anything at the time!

NSW is amazing - i found a weird variety of Subaeruginosa with a flat yellowish cap and that purpled with maturity, heaps of mushrooms i couldnt id...Boletes, Russulas, marismius, you name it i foudn it!
