Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from a fallen rotting tree.

Gills:brown to dark brown

Stem: Whitish, pretty fragile, slightly enlarged at base. 2cm wide. blue bruising

Cap:brown to dark black at edges

Spore print color: dark black

Bruising: blueing
Location: Picked in PNW

Habitat: Wood - Found in deciduous woods, growing straight from a fallen rotting tree.

Gills: The gill color varies from a white to a light pinkish or yeallow color. The gills are free.

Stem: Whitish, pretty fragile, slightly enlarged at base.
Cap: Brown to gray, dark nipple in center.

Spore print color: white.

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: PNW

#1 looks to be Psilocybe cyanescens. Just make sure each specimen is indeed bruising blue.

Not sure about #2.

Just make sure they are all bruising blue and have purple-brown sporeprints, don't want to get any Galerina species mixed in there.

#2 not really sure. The stem suggest maybe gymnopus, you could make a spore-print

Do you have any habitat pictures of them growing from the fallen tree? Congrats on your first active finds. :congrats: I also agree the second one is a gymnopus but who fucking cares you found some cyanescens. :cheers:

just wen ou again feild is directly accros streat i will go find more and take pics it habbitat. but check my second pic its INSANE all these found in 1 spot took abour 10 min of searching.

well third one didnt go so good my visions starting to blurr and i couldnt see much straight anymore but heres some habbitat pics. im searching near southern oregon on a cliff they have cut the trees down here. at end of cliff is about 150 feet drop straight onto ocean.

If you want to pick more from the same location in the future I advise you cut or snap the shrooms at the base of the stem when you harvest, and not rip out the mycelium clump so that the chances of furthur successful flushes are higher.

But since you already pulled up all that mycelium, make yourself a setup to expand it all. Go here for simple solutions to pull this off.
