Preserved shrooms in chocolate for 2.5 years so far, no potency loss

I'm a long-time lurker on these forums and I just wanted to share this because it is so damn awesome! SWIM recently consumed 2.5 year old shrooms (grown with the invaluable help of the Shroomery community) that had been preserved in chocolates and they were just as potent and magical as the day they were born :smile:

It was the easiest preservation method ever. The shrooms were dried under a fan for a few days, then placed in a desiccant chamber until bone dry. They were then chopped up finely (not ground). Dark chocolate was melted in the microwave until completely liquid but only warm to the touch (about 12-16 oz per 1 oz dried shrooms) and the ingredients were mixed together. The chocolates were dropped onto foil in increments of 2 grams of shrooms per piece, individually wrapped in plastic wrap, and sealed tightly in mason jars containing a teaspoon or so of desiccant. These have been in the freezer for about 2.5 years before they came out to play the other day. The trip was truly mind blowing (and the chocolates still taste awesome).

Chocolate pudding or Yoplait works wonders too as a flavor enhancer (or mask)

Well right on, I've never experienced a frozen mushroom dessert lasting over a year in the freezer. Only stomach cramps resulted. :thumbdown:
