freezing fresh shrooms?

a friend just picked his first shroomies and was wondering about preserving them. He knows about drying in a dessicant (sp?) chamber, but was wondering if you could put the freshly picked shrooms in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer? Would this work and keep the potency?

Nope. When they thaw they will be gooey. Unless u eat em frozen i guess.

I would just dry em out with a fan and/or dessicant.

ok...but what if you just take the frozen shrooms and blend them up in a smoothie or shake? Would that be ok? Just curious if anybody has tried this. Thanks!!

hey bud... ive already tried to freeze shrooms but they've lost all potency, i dont know what. i think unless they're dry its bad to put in the freezer...

i hate witty sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.

If you make a smoothie don't use milk, milk is bad for trippin!!!

Dude, just fan dry them for 24 to 48 hours and them chuck them into a dessicant chamber for another 24 to 48 hours. You will have cracker dry shrooms with no potency loss. These can be stored at room tempurature for many months with no potency loss.

as we speak, i am tripping at level two or better, used to be at three or better, but am coming down. the shrooms my neighbor's cat provided me were frozen for over two weeks, and were taken in a grapefruit juice smoothy. whooo hoooo!!

I agree with that milk thing above . . . try mixing the little buddies with a 1/2 tsp of peanut butter. Excellent on so many levels . . . .

Milk + shrooms give me gas and stomach a stomache in the beginning till it works out of my stomach.
