Store fresh shrooms

Hi all, I just picked up some fresh shrooms from my cakes and I think I will trip in 2 days.
How can I store them without drying them? I put them fresh in an airtight jar, but I'm not sure it's okay.

Seal them in a airtight bag and put them in the fridge.

ok, i just put them in fridge, I hope they will be potent as when I picked up.
Another info: they now have some blue zones on the stems, is it normal or what? thx again  :smile:

If they did'nt I would be worried. BLUE is good dude its called bruising and a shaw sign of a magical fruit.

Last question and then I'll stop bothering you: I read that they will become "slimey" if stored in glass, a paper bag is better or it's fine to leave them in their glass jar?

I wouldn't worry too much if you're going to consume them in two days. Any longer and I'd dry them.

Store them in a paper bag. An airtight container will result in slimey goo in a short period of time if the shrooms are not dried first.

Put them in a paper bag in the fridge. The potency might be a bit less, but its only two days, so it shouldn't make much difference.

For two days, use the jar in the fridge. Bags still allow some gas exchange through the plastic. They will not turn to goo or anything in two days. You don't want the gas exchange, because the oxygen is what breaks down the active compounds.

The loss of potency in 1-2 days will not be enough to notice.

I would store them in a paper bag, NOT a glass jar or a sealed plastic bag.
