Honey Preservation Experiences
    #390002 - 09/10/01 05:50 AM (23 years, 4 months ago)

Hi!

Does anybody tried honey preservation of fresh shrooms? I read, that it will keep the potency in them. If it's true, then what kind of honey should I use, and how many? I also heard, that it will be of bad taste, and nasty looking/smelling (which is hard to belive)... Is it true?

Thans for the fast answer!

I got some answers for the taste part of it, and, that it works, but still don't know whether it keeps the potency in the _fresh_ shroomies? (I'm speaking about the potency loss when drying). I read everywhere, that drying goes with potency loss, and honey preservation keeps them fresh, and on full strength.

i ground some dried ones with a coffee grinder and put that into honey....that way all the honey becomes magic. the potency seemed to stay the same. just make sure you make your ratios good or you will be eating huge globs of honey
