Going to Amsterdam for a DAY

Which coffeeshops should I visit? The Bulldog?

What are the cheapest coffeeshops? I want to sample many strains.

I would appreciate fast responses I must assess my finances.

The day will be one big haze before you know it, it won't matter what you're smoking. After a while I just appreciate the different tastes.

Bluebird is a nice quiet place, didn't seem too touristy if I remember.

Go to the Greenhouse on Warmstraut, in the RLD section, then visit the RLD, then back to the Greenhouse, then back to the RLD for round two, I think you get plan, smoke and poke, enjoy!!!  Also a few smart shops for the truffles or shrooms, the adult Disneyland.

man... there are soooooo fucking many coffeeshops.  like a ridiculous number.  i don't think you need to seek out any specific shop to enjoy yourself.  i smoked in like 6 different shops while i was there, and it was all pretty fucking bomb weed.

i don't remember the name of a single shop though.  when i was doing it, i would basically just pop into any ole shop and take a look at the menu and pricing.  i can tell you that the shops outside of the city center (centrum) is where you'll find the best bang for your buck. 

if you're really trying to stretch your funds, i found that often times the Turkish run establishments in residential neighborhoods would sell quality nug for as little as 6-7 euros per gram (versus high profile shops like The Bulldog, which charges fucking 15-25 euros per gram).

The less mainstream coffee shops are usually cheaper but you have to shop around.

Make sure to bone a nasty hooker while smokin a blunt :thumbup:

Baba is usually banging trance tunes, chill shop and nice seat corners -> warmoestraat

Old Style, if they still have nepal cream (8e) buy it!!! very tasty hash -> Martelaarsgracht (central amsterdam)

New millenium gives loads of weed for cheap ass money... like 2,5g of white widow for 10€ I think it's somewhere around waterloopplein

stix has some very good homegrown weed - utrechtste straat

Dampkring remains one of the better ones in town, get some sage or kali myst -> handboogstraat (sideroad of heilige weg)

Amnesia amsterdam at herengracht 133 -> here I bought some of the best strains I smoked in my life upto now

Central - right across the central station towards the "schreierstoren" . I usually got 5g for 25!!! what I love about this shop is you come in and they throw this big backgammonboard card right infront of you with all sorts of baggies on which you can choose from

Barney -> haarlemerstraat/reguliersgracht

Those are all I could think of (remember LOL)

Yeah I have heard really good things about Dampkring. If you wanted to see what it's like there is a movie about Howard Marks, aka Mr.Nice, where he goes there and just smokes joints and does an interview.

This thread has a lot of responses so it has probably been said already, but having been to Amsterdam four times for extended periods (ik spreek een beetje Nederlands), my suggestion of a coffeeshop not to miss is "Grey Area".  I recall it being right next to this giant bust of this guy named "Multatuli" - it's on the bridge that crosses the adjacent canal.  "Magna square" or something, I *think* it's called.
