So, I just arrived in Amsterdam about an hour ago....

Ego-death is inevitable, because I'm planning on eating insane amounts of peyote and mushrooms while I'm here. I've been keeping off the grass for about 2 weeks now, so I'm ready to get blitzed. Peace!!!

Hahaha, oh man. You are gonna get blitzed when you smoke. I highly suggest going to check out the shop "Grey Area" - it is the only American-owned-and-run shop in town and it is pretty frickin awesome. Small, out of the way, good music, and best of all - when I was there in August they were known to simply have the best pot in town.

If they still have the Sour Cream, then I live in envy of you.

right on I'm jealous. Tripping on peyote's going to cost you a shitload of money though... the cactuses are like thirty euro a pop from what I remember, maybe more, and you need to buy a few of them to trip.

I recommend going to the sports shop on the Kalverstraat and pick up one of those aerobie superdiscs for your trips. throwing that thing across hundreds of yards of rolling green grass in the blazing sunshine at vondelpark tripping balls was THE most fun I had in europe.

Just smoked some N.Y.C. Diesel in The Doors coffee shop, and some good ol' White Widow in Resin. I got got high to the point where I felt like I was on a mild dose of shrooms. Fun times; this place is fucking awesome!

Watch out for pickpockets in A'dam, man. Make sure your wallet is in your front pocket and don't carry cash/IDs that you don't need.

Gray Area has the best weed, imo, but also check out the Dampkring, they have a really impressive menu of weed and hash--great shit, even though they can be kind of dicks over there. Just buy and split.

Amsterdam is totally awesome! Have fun!

I would love to go there to see the culture and the legal items.

Only problem that has held me back is that the place I work for drug tests for stupid reasons.... I guess even though I can legally smoke over there when I come back it is still in my system....

but if you were in a country where it is legal and when you ingested it was leagal then i doubt when you come back you can be messed with for having it in your system cause it was legal when it was ingested right? Or is the US so stupid as to say Americans arent even allowed to ingest drugs anywhere even off american soil?

That is exactly what the U.S. will say. You will fail a drug test if you test positive for THC metabolites no matter which way you look at it. :frown:

I'm pretty damn sure the "U.S" doesn't drug test anybody. If the company you work for drug tests you after you come back from Amsterdam and you test positive, they'll probably fire you though. It ain't the country it's the company baby.

Im going there in a month, I had no idea that peyote was legal however. Did you get a price check on peyote buttons? I cant see spending over 30 euros for a strong trip, but if its a bit over I might be inclined.

Yeah, I hung out at the Pink Floyd tripping on those 2 packs of shrooms. I had the whole 3rd floor to myself.

TheCow: peyote is pretty expensive. A trip would easily be over $100. Shrooms are kind of expensive too. One of those 12 gram boxes costs 16 Euros. I'm used to finding mushrooms for free, but oh well.
