L-Tyrosine/amino/protein question

So I started a two week break from drugs, to let my body 'recover' and my tolerance reset. Primarily, I was taking 20mg adderal 2-3x a week and after 4 months noticed a slight decline in its effectiveness, so instead of upping the dose I decided to take a break. I also decided to quit caffeine cold turkey, BAD IDEA, I withdrew for an entire week and had bad lingering headaches, stomach pains and lower back pains because of the caffeine withdrawal(funny how I had nothing from adderal). I was taking about 300mg of caffeine a day though.

Anyways, fast forward: I started taking 2g inositol, 2g l-carnitine and 1.5g l-tyrosine a day every morning right when i wake up, then waiting an hour before eating because I read from a lot of people that l-tyrosine is an amino acid and therefore will cling onto protein, so if you have food in your stomach it might devoid all the l-tyrosine for nothing.

Anyways, I looked at my protein shake mix just now, "NOW Sports whey isolate unflavored" protein and noticed that it had 750mg of l-tyrosine per serving, a long with a lot of other l- amino acids.

My question is, after reading so many people say to make sure you DONT have protein in your stomach while taking l-tyrosine, why does my protein mix have 750mg in it? Im kinda confused... :zoidberg:

Are you sure you weren't just looking at amino acid profile of your (guessing) whey?
Because Tyrosine is amino acid found in most protein as well as in whey.

But to get the special effect you have to get it alone - that's why you read that no other protein (protein = a bunch of amino acids) should be present in your stomach at a time.
