And Latinos, Asians, and Russians (white people) have just as much. Russia has the biggest heroin problem in the world. Sharing needles isn't a social taboo created by an aggressive public service campaign over there. Africa is no longer the center of the pandemic, it is merely the origin.

There are monkeys that contain similar substrains of HIV and other primate viruses. If all the people with hiv/aids were eliminated still it would return because of the close contact with primates still ongoing in parts of Africa. Inevitably some idiot in the bush is going to kill and eat, possibly distribute infected bushmeat, fuck a few people,  and spark the pandemic all over again.

ya if everyone died of aids who has it, it wouldn't exist in the population anymore. therefore people wouldn't get it. but that doesn't mean it couldn't be brought back in, since many primate species carry similar viruses. the leading theory as to how we got it is some dude was butchering some monkey with SIV or some other such... and cut his hand... and bam. damn...
