But in the real world it didnt happen like that. Just b/c youre in college or whatever doesnt mean you know shit. You should pay less attention to text books and more attention to reality.Youre naive as fuck.
way to think outside the box and generalize history based on your religious ideas! you are a unique snowlake, far more intelligent than us lowly academics, blinded by our Christian-written, Pro-America textbooks.
i'm sure your argument here (since you've done absolutely nothing to support it) is that Britain has a lot of cameras, and the US is getting more surveillance cameras, so we must be under the control of the Queen!
and theyve somehow proven their points by referencing things learned in text books written by the very people responsible for said acts? It's completely illogical to trust that. What's being shown here is false intellect. Learning fabricated stories for situations like this, so that the lies can be kept alive.

Second, I don't think anyone stops learning when they leave school. Nothing in the world prevents anyone from getting information from any source they want. Nothing!
being american i think i have a good idea asshole. And it took me graduating school and going to college to realize what was happening. And im not the first person to be curious so it was easy to find people and material regarding the lineage of our country and it's rulers. Everything is connects it's up to you to put it together.

Anonymous #16 said: so you morons honestly believe that america recorded an accurate description of what happened when we first arrived here all the way up until the supposed revolution? You dont get taught the truth about your country in school, and that's my point. The very fact that they rewrite history to make themselves seem less evil and teach it to our children generation after genration is outrageous. And people like you read it and believe it their entire lives. It's about domination and conformity. Denying that it had everything to do with religion is ignorant and only perpetuates the idea that one needs to have their hand held throughout existence. It's just a cycle that's been repeating itself for a long, long time.
no, i believe that all of the independent writings of the times, that were compiled and critically reviewed by historians give a more accurate picture of our country's history than your paranoid assumptions and ramblings. i believe that the fact that most historians admit to our evils of slavery, brutalization of natives, and political injustices shows much less of a bias than you would like to admit.
you are the one who believes this country was founded by Christians. you are the one who believes our government is controlled by the queen, despite Tony Blair's near total subordinance to our last President, and our general not-giving-a-fuck towards UK policies.
religion does partly exist to control people, but most people believe it b/c they have no better answers and are too lazy to keep up with science. the church is corrupt, and literalist christianity is a blight on our society IMO, but ascribing it to all of the problems of our world is ignorant and stupid.

The founding of this country had nothing to do with religion. It had to do with an incompetent inbred monarch and some fed-up intellectuals and military types who incited a revolution against said monarch.
Granted, much of the population involved were religious and much unnecessary slaughtering of natives was done in the process. But the USA's foundations are entirely secular and areligious. The founding fathers were not what you could reasonably call "Christians" and neither was their administration. Rather, there has been somewhat of a Christian revival in the time since the revolution. It's gotten so bad that the evangelicals can say we are and always have been a "Christian nation" and have masses of people swallow it.

Then you dont know the history of the church well enough. It's only paranoia when it's not the truth. Our governments are so connected that shit like tony blair being subservient to bush can happen. We're minutes away from having one world government, yet youre still holding on to the lies.

youre basically saying that the founding fathers were golden boys amongst the rest of the population and i refuse to believe that they were somehow different than the rest of the country. The only difference would be the fact they they were free masons, which is a whole new level on fanaticism.

just like the way you managed to bunch pilgrims in with the founding fathers, you have again managed to bunch historians in with the people who perpetrated "said acts," which is ridiculous.
if these lying evildoers did these heinous acts you speak of in the name of religion, they would've had no problem claiming themselves that it was done in the name of religion.

How can you say history is "wrong" when you clearly don't know any of it in the first place? The colonies were inhabited by many different groups of people from different origins and possessing different beliefs. The Puritans came first, but they were later followed by folks they were trying to get away from - the more mainstream Europeans who were becoming too secular and impious for Puritans' liking over the course of the Renaissance. It's America, it's a fucking melting pot, it always has been, and the Christianization of our institutions started scarcely one hundred years ago.

it is sad that dummies believe Obama is the Anti-Christ. but your posts are equally as ill-informed and as ignorant. yes, religion is responsible for this thread. yes, religion should go away already. thankfully, its on its way out.
but history =/= religion. history is written by the winners to a degree, but to say that all history taught in school is fraudulent is just as bad as the Christians saying that science is fraudulent.

Dude, America is not fucking New Jerusalem or some shit. Our constitution calls for a completely secular government which is presently being fucking overrun by a brand-new generation of bastardized Televangelist McMegachurch Christianity. The system is rotten, but it's not rotten to the core. Ignorant douchebags like you are the reason why we have something as retarded as the "culture wars" going on in the first place, throwing fuel on the fire of poorly-reasoned prejudice and blind antagonism.

His grandmother died like a week and a half after telling some news station that she saw him being born in Kenya with her own eyes.
Sorry gram-gram, satan needs you dead!
I'm not the least bit concerned about this really, because I believe what I believe and I'm secure in that. What I really hope is that the pre-Trib Rapture theory is correct so that my child doesn't have to go through that meat grinder.
