I read the Bible, and most of the haters here have no idea what the Bible says. You talk about how I am programmed or brainwashed, but you are basing your impressions of Christianity on what you have been programmed by the populists to believe it says.
The Ten Commandments are often viewed as the tenets of the Christian Faith. Can you provide an example of how following the Commandments could lead to the problems in the world today?
Anyone can call themselves a Christian. It doesn't mean they are one. For instance, OTDers call themselves Shroomerites - would you say it is fair then to say all Shroomerites post scat and use the word nigger?

What What?
Give me one bible verse that claims Jesus was an actual shepherd, as opposed to a shepherd of men?
He threw them out because they were changing money, in the temple.

or, perhaps those pandemics never happened because we all shit ourselves over it and made sure it didn't happen, retard.
Do you have any idea at all how many billions of dollars of livestock were destroyed to keep these diseases from hitting critical mass?
No. Because you just post whatever sounds good to you, without ever checking to see if facts support you or not.

Y2K didn't happen for the same reason. Were you old enough then to notice the hospitals, banks, and government hiring "Y2K compliance experts" to test their equipment for compatibility.... or the patching of untold millions of accounting packages.... the mass migration to new hardware and software... the batch conversion of old records...
these things didn't happen because we didn't ignore the problem, we fixed it.

Thou shall have no other gods before me.
this has caused problems for thousands of years. see, those other gods are 'evil' and from the Devil, so all other world religions must be converted or destroyed. See: Israel.
now, if you want to expand from the Ten Commandments, you can look at the myriad of times in the OT that Yahweh ordered his people to murder and destroy other civilizations. See: Hosea 13:16, where God declares his intent to rip open the pregnant women of Samaria and smash their unborn children on rocks.
if you want to go from a strictly moral standpoint, see: Deuteronomy where it says in the Law (of your God) that if a young virgin gets raped, and she becomes pregnant, she is to marry her rapist who must pay her father 50 silver coins.
the bible is full of horrific immoral bullshit that has led to the destruction of priceless history and people. it serves no better as a moral guideline than any other old religious/mythological text.
Your argument for the prevention of Y2K is also flawed, b/c there were enormous number of companies that didn't hire Y2K experts, and nothing at all happened to them. As for disease, you have a point, considering Ebola contaminated a small area in D.C. in the late 80s, and we fortunately stopped it. See: Dead Zone.

Anonymous #9 said: so i guess the crusades that are actually still going on today... yeah i guess that isnt real. genocide you mean like when people from european countries came over to america forced there religion on the indians killed them if they didnt follow all while raping there women and stealing there land...
guess your right blaming the worlds woes on religion is a cop out... let us not forget the whole israel crisis that isnt happening either... or why gas is so much money because of religious based wars... no no no... you are right it all has nothing to do with religion... pick up a fucking news paper you moron
The genocide of Native Americans by Europeans wasn't about religion. It was about flexing power, and gaining riches for the crowns and countries which were doing the conquering. The rulers at the time used religion to excuse and encourage people to slaughter. They intentionally distorted the true message of the religion for their own ends, just like extremist Muslims do today.
You're a fucktard if you think gas "is so much money because of religious based wars". Gas is "so much money" because everyone needs it, and its a limited resource. Of course the people who control it are going to make as much off of it as they can. Its not about religion, its about economics, and greed.

WRONG. The pilgrims were over here, fleeing from religious persecution. I.e they are sadists and puritans(hypocrisy, i know) and inherently evil people. Our country was founded by these very people. And you say it wasnt about religion? They murdered and raped the natives and deemed them as being savages b/c they were not as "refined". It's always about religious beliefs.

wow, bad history on your part. our country was founded by Deists and freethinkers more than anything else. our country may have originally been settled by these types of people, but not founded.
the natives not being as 'refined' as the settlers was also an excuse. bottom line was that the settlers wanted their land, and they feared them b/c they were an unkown variable, so they killed them or kicked them off said land until they were nearly gone.
the lack of Christianity inherit in the natives is a mute point. only a few people gave a shit about converting them anyway, most just wanted them gone. even if they had lived in log cabins and worshipped Jesus, the settlers still would've fucked them up b/c they weren't white and they didn't speak english.

So how do you figure that the founding fathers werent the same people. You think mystically over time they just abandoned their religious history? Gimmie a break. This country was designed in such a manner that it cannot sustain itself. If you pay attention to the way this world is, you'll notice that britain is always the first to implement the newest methods of controlling a population, and then like clockwork america follows suite. My point, This country is still ran by the queen after all these years. Britain has managed to accomplish what it set out to do from the start. Control the globe. You sound pretty naive if you ever thought the people stood a chance. democracy is a lie and an illusion. Just like religion. and that's the bottom line.
