Mescaline Bad Trip - 170+ BPM and Blood Pressure

Hey, I'm trying to find some answers about mescaline and my health.

I've done mescaline twice (pure extraction) from two different batches. I've read that mescaline can increase blood pressure and pulse, but I didn't know this bad.

The first time I was tripping pretty hard off of 500mg, visuals and all. I could tell my blood pressure was extremely high, but didn't check my pulse. I felt pretty fine after the initial uncomfortable come up, but my face began to feel like rubber (high blood pressure?) as if I took too much adderall and it felt like vasoconstriction was horrible. My heart was beating pretty fast, I'd say 150+.

The second trip a few days ago is what really concerned me though, and I took 300mg off of a different batch. The first couple hours it felt like I was on MDMA. I felt great, but no visuals! But after a little while (around 3 hours in), the body high completely went away, hands began tingling, I was sweating, pulse was 150 resting, 170-180 walking, and blood pressure through the roof. I was considering going to the hospital because my chest began hurting at some points, but I decided to wait it out. This continued for 8 hours, and just did not let up.

What's up with the extreme physiological side effects? Can you die off of taking low amounts of mescaline from blood pressure or having a heart attack? I'm a little concerned, as I'm on no medications and don't have high blood pressure to begin with.

My source is very trusted and reliable, I'm sure a few of you have heard of GiM...

A friend both times took some off of the same batch, and didn't have these adverse reactions like I did. It was definitely mescaline.

Am guessing mescaline is not for you?

Have never had a reaction like that... All I can do is say, go to the doctor and get checked out. I would not do any drug till you sort those issues out.

I would suggest mediation also. Was this a panic attack? Might be able to gain some control and keep calm and BP and pulse rate down.

I don't know man, but if it was a panic attack I didn't know they could last 8 hours straight. My pulse slowly decreased over 12-13 hours down to 90-100.

Right now it's at 62 resting, and it usually is in the 60's or 70's. Blood pressure normal. I am going to go to the doctors, but I feel they may not really help besides saying "don't do it again".

Just sounds like you are getting high as fuck and start getting a little tripped out because your heart is pounding your sweating etc... Then you start looking at the numbers like your blood pressure etc and that really starts making you freak out. What you described above just sounds like some normal minor panic you are pretty new to this substance and it is bound to happen. And panic attacks can last for years bro lol. I once thought i had poison ivy in my throat and had a two day long anxiety attack. Shit happens

Im not the expert but im pretty sure the high bp and vasoconstriction is perfectly normal and just a side effect of the drug. Never done mescaline but ive done lsd, shrooms, and lsa plenty of times and almost always have the insane heart beat lol its normal and ive felt the vasoconstriction on lsa everytime ive done it and can agree with you it can be very unpleasant.

That's what I thought but I want to make sure nothing that was happening was a cause of concern for my safety, because I know they're pretty safe but I did not know physical effects could be so severe.

at first i was gonna say maybe the extraction you did retained some powerful chemicals in the cactus which effect heart rate and blood pressure? thereby taking the side effects of cactus and somewhat multiplying them?

but then you say you did two different batches so it could just be your personal biochemistry. how is your health outside these experiences? exercise?

but mescaline is a stimulant phenethylamine too; a psychedelic first but also a stimulant. although shouldn't be getting reactions this bad

everybody reacts differently to everything to man. I had a girlfriend in highschool the first time she smoked weed was with me and had a severe allergic reaction to it lol.

the high bp for sure comes with most drugs that are psychedelic or have stimulant properties to them.

And i am pretty sure the vasco is common and normal for a lot of psychedelics.

Your extraction process plus dosage played the biggest part in the vasco you experienced. When i use to extract lsa the longer the seeds sat in the liquid the more vasconstriciton id notice but if i only let them sit for an hour in the liquid i would have none at all.

You know, I haven't been big on exercise, but the past 2-3 weeks I've been getting in 10-20 minutes of daily jogging -- building up to 30+.

My diets horrible. Not overweight though.

My body IS still recovering from an amphetamine addiction (veryyyy bad) though. Last time I used was ~ 6 months ago. The physical effects of mescaline felt like the physical effects of high dose amphetamines times 10.

i also have some concern about my pulse/heart while under the influence of mesc/cactus. i am very inactive exercise-wise, but i am not overweight, etc.

i had thought about taking some liquid codeine along the way, perhaps to aid in slowing the heart beat, & mellowing things out a bit, but i'm unsure of the risk

anyone have useful info on that?

@OP, how did you measure your BPM while tripping?

You most likely had a panic attack. A burst of adrenaline speeding your heart up, then since you were tripping getting an accurate BPM reading by hand is impossible because you think its going WAY faster than it is, causing you to panic and increase heart rate.

Trust me I have been there.

Do you use marijuana? if so how does that effect your bloodpressure/pulse

sounds like mescaline to me. a little elevated heart beat is normal. i think you might be overemphasizing the actual physical danger with your mind. Just a thought.

cleaned or washed  mescaline will not give you that effect,uncleaned mescaline has all kinds of other alkaloids in it ,a simple mek wash does wonders from my own experiences with impure mescaline, and a few washed are even better imo,
i cant stand impure mescaline anymore,way to speedy for me, i just dont enjoy that experience
