i was jus glidin along and then a kid fell right in front of me and i tripped over him and did a superman for about 10 feet and then landed on my wrist and then the rest of me hit the ground hard i was pretty dam high and it sobered me up real quick status biggest buzz kill evar

It was pretty rough, had a revoked license due to a dwi charge and had to hobble to work a good ways often.

You adapt, at first it was the worst thing in the world, now I don't even notice it unless someone makes a comment about my swagger, it was the result of rhamdomiolsis as the result of heroin/alprazolam overdose so there wasn't much room for a pity party.

We are amazingly plastic in our ability to adapt to non-lethal bodily damage. Hope YOU don't need a cane when you're older, I'd use it to harass the youth of the future like in the old man stereotype that no one uses anymore.

yea 2 weeks ago my coolant tank exploded and i got really burned. my right arm from the elbow to the wrist and most of my thumb got really bad 2nd degree burns. it hurt like fuck and since im right handed it made everthing difficult. but my best friend is in a wheel chair for the rest of his life and cant walk so matter how bad it gets he always humbles me. he really is a great guyy he doesnt let his injury stop him from doin shit. thats why i was so drawn to him because he had a great outlook on life and we loved our pot we smoked everyday together. he was a few years older than me but we he always treated me as an equal and always gave me advice. sadly i had to move away a couple months ago and we no longer get to hang i miss him and his wife and kids alot they were my home away from home.

Man everyone's giving Coasty shit but I think he makes a great point: don't take your health for granted.  Especially on a forum full of junkies constantly moaning about their plight, "hitting rock bottom" and all sorts of other bullshit.  If you are able bodied and complaining about how your life is full of despair because you are a hardcore addict you look pretty stupid honestly, because you could have it so much harder with a serious physical handicap or if you were one of the majority of human beings in third world countries who can do little more with their time than struggle to survive in their present living conditions.  Basically everyone on the Shroomery is a spoiled brat relative to how tough their lives could really be.
