veils breaking too soon?

i have read in many cultivation guides that shrooms (P.cub) are picked after the veil breaks. what happens when the veils are breaking when the shoom is only 1 or 2 inches long? does this mean that they should still be picked? is something wrong with the conditions they are growing in? also, does anyone know about how many shrooms one would eat for a good dose if they happened to come by some which are 50mm in length and 5mm in diameter? thanks.

If the viel is breaking, that means the shrooms are maturing. So if your a believer of the veil breaking potency thing, then pick em... If they were that small i'd let em grow out a tad more. Personal preference. On how many you should eat, that is also preference, but they need to be weighed to get a dose... You cant really just judge by length and stuff like that. If its the first flush, they (the shrooms) should get bigger next time around. There is my 2 cents... good luck
