veils breaking at 1-2 inches? i've never heard of that before. are you sure you're growing cubensis? you know what 'veil' means, right? what are they growing on and what strain are they?  those are some real small mushrooms.

also, does anyone know about how many shrooms one would eat for a good dose if they happened to come by some which are 50mm in length and 5mm in diameter? thanks.

you need to dose by weight. get a scale or borrow someone else's.

I'm getting early pops as well, they get about finger sized, a few are twice as big as the rest, and then the veil breaks. It either all pops off or it kinda shreds slowly.
