you mean it isnt possible that she didnt do it and that the media was
convicting her in our minds... it was a jury of 12 that unanimously not
guilty with only a few hours of deliberation. to me that's a compelling
statement that she didnt murder her kid

I support this post. I thought it was Innocent until proven guilty. Most of you were after her getting the death sentence from the get-go like a rabid roman watching a gladiator match.

I think she probably killed the baby but they just  couldn't prove it. The jury probably thinks the same thing. The prosecution has to prove it and they couldn't so the jury did the right thing.

there's no statute of limitations on murder so it's not as though they had to
jump right into prosecution mode, this is a problem when you have an
overzealous DA that wants to win reelection by saying "I put away casey
anthony and I'll put away all the other scum too" I guess he blew that along
with the millions this trial cost

It was the prosecution's greed for publicity and re-election. They only proved she is a bad person and an abysmal excuse for a mother.  The prosecution had no a) date or time of death, b) cause of death, c) non-circumstantial evidence linking the accused to the crime or the corpse.  All they had was a too-young and ill-equipped mom who probably wanted an abortion or at least an adoption but was prevented from both by her family and the misogynistic society we live in.

She wasn't found guilty. We don't know if she did it at all. Thank god this country still uses the legal system instead of giving everyone torches and a rope. The public would have had it's own justice from the beginning whether she did do it or not. Everyone says she is guilty but no one has evidence to prove it. Maybe she didn't do it..

Of course we don't know who did it, and she that she was found innocent. 

My point is that many people disagree with the verdict.  They are convinced that she did it, yet she was found innocent.  Shocking!

also had a scumbag grandfather and a grandmother that may have been
seeking custody because mom was a rat's ass, gramps was napping while
the kid was drowning, the body was located 1/4 mile from grandpa's place
the grandparents even insisted at one point that the kid was kidnapped
by a baby sitter, why would they make a claim they would have no knowledge of

not guilty and innocent are different critters, innocent means she absolutely
didnt do it, not guilty means a jury says they found insufficient evidence to
convict, the state did a shitty job of investigating, maybe she didnt
actually do it... many other possibilities
