Any advice on hitch hiking?
    #14564204 -

Where should I go to get a ride, who should I ask, etc.

I assume truckers, but I'm not gonna blow the fucker for a ride. I'm gonna probably be with 1 friend. Is it customary to give them some money for the ride? Should I just go hangout at an interstate truck stop that is in the direction I wanna go?

Leftover Crack is playing a concert around here on the 25th, and I really wanna go but its a 6 hour round trip drive and I don't have the money to pay for gas for that kinda shit. And its just one other friend who would wanna go that I could get to hitchhike with me.

So, any tips on not getting murdered and raped would be pretty cool. I know some of you probably know whats up.

I guess I could walk and camp out a few days before, but shit, thats a long walk.

Large sign stating your destination, on ramps to interstate location, decent appearance, Maybe craigs list for ride share?  ...:goodluck: . . . :peace:

Good call man. I can walk if I really have to, but I feel like hitch hiking would be a way cooler way.

I'm sure we won't be the only ones hoboing our way to a Leftover Crack concert lol.

I always carried a sharp folding knife too, just in case.(This was over 30 years ago, though) :hippie: . . . :peace:

Make sure there is room for a car to stop and pick you up on the on ramp. I would just stick your thumb out and fly a sign with the direction you are going (north, south, etc.) Follow your intuition, if you're offered a ride by someone you don't feel comfortable with, decline, there will always be another ride. Keep your knife easily accessible, like in your front pocket(duh) and dont let yourself be seperated from your pack just in case you have to bail (dont put your shit in their trunk). Have fun, I wish Leftover Crack was playing around my neck of the woods.

Seen a sexy sexy young female looking for a ride on I-16 not to long ago, too pretty to need a ride. She looked like she was far from home too, didnt pick her up though cuz of tv and new stories. I didnt want to be car jacked/kidneys sold on the black market lol.
