Kava Kava paste (Liquid Concentrate) experience?

Has anyone has any experience with a Kava paste? I am looking to purchase Kava for the first time online, and trying to decide between a paste (liquid concentrate) and an instant serving/milkshake. I am curious to differences in potency and dosage. Approximately how much of the paste would have to be consumed in order to feel the effects?

I wish the vendor provided more in-depth information on the website, but any personal experiences or recommendations? I'm excited to experience Kava for the first time soon :smile:

I love Kava.  If you're just looking for effect then you should go with the capsules from shamansgarden.com.  Great product.

I will definitely consider the capsules if I enjoy my first experience. I ended up ordering the instant drink! I'm excited to experience Kava for the first time! Also got some Maeng Da Ultra Enhanced Extract in the same order. Can't wait till it all comes

It's like being drunk with a side of euphoria.  You know how alcohol is technically a depressant?  Kava feels more like a stimulant or narcotic.

It feels pretty healthy to me.  Healthier than alcohol even.

I love kava and have tried extracts and drink mixes but I prefer the classic water and powdered root method.

No reason to stray from thousands of years of perfection. 

Kava can have a reverse tolerance and the kavalactone capsules can remedy this. Just take them a week before you plan to actually partake in a kava session.That is the only thing I use the capsules for.

If you search CptnGarden's posts on kava and his experiences with it in the pacific (fiji)  you should be able to find loads of info.  He got all butthurt a few years ago and deleted his pictures and a lot of his information unfortunately, but I think most of his post content is still around.

Something important I noticed with kava is that eating the extract straight is not as affective as an same amount of plain kava powder brew. If an extract is dissolved in a glass of water or something, it seems to work much better... probably because of surface area. Anyone else notice this also?

Ive tried encapsulating the same root powder I use for my brew to no avail.
