genetic mutation ? help!

a friend of mine is doing brf /verm pint jars. contamination got into grow chamber, and caused what i assume was the problem , most of the shrooms grew very small and the caps did not mature, looked like penis envy strain on the sporeworks. strain he was using was maz. alhough some did grow to reg. maturity and he took prints from them. cleaned the chamber and room fully , but 2nd generation from prints arent pinning, only one pin and it grew with same problem,(penis envy small and not mature cap.) now he put int chamber different strain kosa, from new syringes from t.h.e. and seems to be getting same problem . hes been doing this for a while and has never seen this. any help or input would be greatly appreciated. this is very frustrating

nothing is contam now. could mushroom mutate from contamination? sorry no pictures , but if you go to sporeworks pic gallerys and look at penis envy strain you can see wha t imm talking about
