everyone knows hendrix played a right handed guitar and flipped it upside down and restrung the strings, but there are tales of him taking a right handed guitar and flipping it over and *NOT* flipping the strings and he was still able to play the exact same songs he could play normally, and there's also tales of him playing entire solo's backwards note for note on cue.

Not to burst your bubble, but there are several lefty guitar players that leave the strings reversed, meaning low E towards the floor.

I said that Hendrix could

a) Play the guitar upside down and he normally restrung the strings

and

b) He could take some right handed guitar and flip it over, and NOT change the strings, and still be able to play his songs

The string order made no difference, because he knew where the notes were that well.

Find me someone else who can do THAT.

And I think King was one of the first to flip a guitar upside down and not restring it.

Didn't mean to sound condescending, I assume that these guys prefer the upside down stringing...but I'm sure these upper level guitar players would be proficient with a standard guitar.
