I emailed him to let him know that i support his stance for peace, against pressures from our "friends".

Even if you feel completely opposite let him know!

I can't stand Chretien, but I do support his decision to stay out of this war. We don't have the troops to spare, and they aren't needed anyways.

As a side note, it really pisses me off to hear a few Americans slam Canada because we won't get behind our American brothers in this war...yet become stone cold silent when I bring up the fact that it took 3 years for the U.S. to get involved in WW2 while their Canadian "brothers" were losing thousands on the battlefields in Europe.

The sad thing is that the U.S. is sure to "punish" us somehow for our "defiance"...we've been getting screwed for years by the U.S. economically as their "best friend and closest ally"...I can't wait to see what happens now.

Well canada has borders to the US, so lots of terrorists can strike them from here. We are a "rouge" state, and shall be delt with accordingly....of this im sure. Oh and the "drug trade" here supports terrorism also!

Living in an Oil based province, it was of no surprise to me to hear our Premier saying that the citizens of Alberta support the war effort in the U.S. Despite what the Prime Minister says....He is kissing so much American ass it makes me sick.

For your information..that happened in Montreal...When they played the American Anthem in Calgary there was a standing ovation.
