The Dancing Iraqis
    #1406629 - 03/24/03 03:40 PM (21 years, 9 days ago)

Is it just me, or do Iraqis just love to dance?

We "liberate" their town, they dance in front of a camera.

We crash a helicopter, and they take POWs, they dance in front of a camera?

"I just raped and killed your mother, and three sisters"

"You son of a whore! I will kill y... Hey, is that a camera?"

*starts dancing*

I say we just line the entire country with cameras, then they will all be too busy dancing to be a threat to anyone.*

*Shamelessly plagerized from another Shroomerite.

Maybe we should be shipping over DJ's and E. Maybe we can replace Islam with PLUR.

I think a rave would be ten times more exciting if people were firing assault rifles into the air.

You know those rhythmless goofs with whistles who try to go along with the music?

Imagine if they had ak-47's.

Have you noticed that it's almost always the same dance?

Hopping on one leg, with one arm straight up in the air and hand flapping around, occasionally alternating leg and arm simultaneously.

What the hell kind of dance is that?

I have a feeling it's going to be a new American dance fad later this year.

Just think how happy they would be if we dropped 8'x8' squares or cardboard and linoleum for break dancing.  They would kick it "Very Old School"

"breakin' 3" the prequal.

They sure are funny. They dance even while mourning. Beating their chests and heads, all the time screaming shit.

Yeah, I'm all for it. Let's lace that humanitarian aid with some Ecstasy.

I saw an interview with some Kurish family.

Their son was named Dick Cheney, who was, of course, the defence secretary during the first Gulf War. They're expecting a second child, who they plan on naming George Bush.

Lots of good replies!  I had hoped to steer everyone away from the seriousness of all this and try to lighten the mood.  Although I am intensely political I try to disassociate that part of my life from the Shroomery unless there are issues that overlap.

Thanks for not telling who I stole that from.  I have to admit I laughed harder over that than many things I normally laugh at.  I am still giggling a day later!

Great stuff BH.

Cheers,

Yeah, I really am. It was on CNN last night.

Its a pavlovian response. They know that if they dance, yell, and support their leader, they wont be killed. Many of those who are cheering the US as they go through the town are only doing so because they think that is what they are supposed to do. I mean, these people have no concept of free speech. They have lived without it for so long. Generations have come and gone and they all know one thing...support your leader or die.

The last one is not funny at all...
Did you know that they have 10.000 years of recorded history and that they were considered the most educated arab nation until 20 years ago?
