Blue Honey (i.e. preserving psilcybe in honey)

I've been searching around for some good teks for making Blue Honey or any variants of preserving fungi in honey.  I've got some very potent mushrooms that a friend grew but hes no longer around so I wanted to preserve some of his awesome fruit as my other friends cant produce nearly as nice fruit as his.  Definitely some of the most finely grown fungi I've had.  Though I hope to grow some better here soon once I can get my hands dirty. :grin:

But as for preserving, I've looked around on here and a few other sites.  Most of what I found was older threads and such.  So I was wondering what people's experiences with making Blue Honey were and if they could offer up their method or link me to a tek that they like I'd really appreciate it.  I've got pure natural honey from an organic food store as I heard that preserves better than normal store bought honey.  Im thinking small canning jar with the honey, then either whole or chopped up add in the mushrooms and put away for a couple months.  Could anyone add to this to help me out.  Would heating the honey first to get its smooth be best or would that damage alkaloids?  Any help much appreciated!!

Thank you sir!  I was looking at this before, have you tried it out yourself?  I'm looking for some personal experiences if possible.  It doesnt seem too hard but all the same Id like to hear some success stories haha.

my buddy did a blue honey, a few years back.  i remember the honey even had a blue color too...


ill ask him today how he did it exactly and how much mush he used.

I haven't tried it yet but it seems like an elegant way to store psilocybin stealthily. If you don't need it to be stealthy, plain dried shrooms in an airtight container with desiccant is best IMO.

Honey is pretty old school.. Think the meso-amercains used that for their mushrooms
