I find that if I make Shroom Tea, or Shroom Hot Chocolate, my trips become more vivid and visual. When I eat the shrooms whole (in ice cream, or chocolate, or plain) my trips tend to get VERY psychological and not very visual, and any visuals I do get are very dark and creepy. I usually come up from tea in about 10-15 mins, while eating takes up to 1.5 hours. But I guess it just depends on the person.

Meh, shroom tea is best for me. I love drinking tea, so why not mix the 2 things I love consuming hehe

I used to just chew and suck on the things for an hour. I can deal with the taste but i find the trip more intense and comes on faster in tea form.

I also find that the duration fo the trip lasts a lot longer with tea :]

As for heat destroying the psilocybin, there has lately been dispute over that i think.

It has a lot to do with personal chemistry and what you have been eating that day as well.

What about blending the shrooms into orange juice, like in a blender. Does that work pretty good?

i have found many methods to be very effective. a quick and easy way to disguise the taste is to cut your shrooms into small pieces and mix them with salad dressing. ranch works very well and by cutting them first you don't have to spend as much time chewing them. the only problem i ever have with grinding them in my coffee grinder and then putting them in cherry kool aid is that when ground to a fine powder the shrooms barely absorb any water making them float and not really mix. i usually take about 5 grams dried mixed in about 4 ounces of cherry kool aid two times.

okay my opinion here, I have taken cranberry juice, orange juice and 2 vitamin c tabs, mixed it good ground the mushies to a fine powder in a coffee grinder, add to the juice mix in blender add ice, it hits so hard and fast its almost instant, I think it is the vitamin c, and it lasts long, also no taste issues!! Just my 2 cents

RC's girl has a sensitive stomach to fowl tasting treats, but when RC ground up the shrooms in a coffee grinder and mixed them in with OJ, RC and his girl could barely taste them. No waste, no hassle (as long as you have $20 for a dedicated shroom grinder), and no torture. Dried shrooms in the mouth whole is the worst way to go in my opinion; props to you who can endure that!

i used to eat freeze dried mushrooms out of the box (for cooking). so eating them straight wasnt so bad. it wasnt plesant as i finshed them, but, it wasnt too bad.

an easy way to eat the shrooms is get a chocolate bar, take a big bite, then shove the shrooms in your mouth and chew chew chew untill you cant chew anymore.

i swear your sont taste anything but chocolate. Otherwise i would puke...the taste of shrooms has made me gag and throw up before :/

I got a great method that gave me a 10 hour trip and worked well,
Powdered shrooms, heat up a small amount of milk, im talking a shot glass full so it is warm, not hot. Put the powdered shrooms in the milk and add a drop of honey, stir and either drink on empty stomach or "chew" the milk for a while, the fine mushie dust gets into the emusion suspension or somethign so it is absorbed the traditional way with no nasty taste!

I get my dried shrooms, grind into a powder in a coffee grinder, then mix the powder with OJ in a blender, and blend it some more.  you can omit the grind to a powder stage if you want, but then you get SUPER pulpy OJ.  It's kinda like a shroom smoothie :smile:

I always chew the shrooms until there is nothing left. Occasionally they taste kinda nasty, but normally I am not bothered by it. I guess I do this because I want to make sure I'm getting all I can out of it. I'm the kind of guy who still has the acid paper under his tongue 5+ hours later.

i usually eat them fresh....with OJ....put the shrooms in your mouth, add some OJ, and chew away...cant taste the shrooms at all...but tryin to swallow the mass as well as the liquid is sometimes a problem...:S

I agree with ya Fick. Kinda like slamming a shot of whiskey. OJ is my usual transport liquid. Ocassionally I'll use Nesquick. It's all aabout as nasty to me.

all of my shrooming has been by eating dry. I thought the taste would be much worse than it actually was, but i'm sure shrooms vary in degree of nastiness. I know one dude who simply loves the taste of shrooms, he would just eat them out of a big bowl like chips as a snack if he could. i usually only chew for a little bit and gulp em down - sometimes in a pb and j sandwich with plenty of liquid on hand.

I think some of the reason people think something is so nasty is because they have the idea in their head that it should taste horrible, and it just builds it up so that gag reflex is rearing to go. like if you didn't know you were eating dog shit, you probably wouldn't think it was that bad...or maybe not, hehe.
