Haha I wouldn't waste shit on a fish tank. Just saying that I've seen tons of people on here and every time they switched to a sgfc, they noticed the difference

my buddy used a fishtank when we first heard about growing.
he put 4 grow bags in a fish tank. out of 4 bags we got barely an OZ total.

give me those 4 bags with a few monos and some coco and ill give you pounds.
fishtanks are ancient tech.

would you rather have a nokia candy bar cell phone?
or a smart phone?

i do miss my old phone though... hehe the snake eating the apple game.

And this was 5 minutes of searching. Fish tanks have shit yields comparatively, i wasnt lying. Check the cultivation picture of the day thread for many more.

Hundreds of holes with constant air exchange, and new air comes in through wet perlite saturating it with humidity... Nothing beats it.

Mycotopia hardly sticks to any teks at all.  They won't tell you if you're fucking up, they'll pat you on the back for being "open minded" and thinking outside the box while you're still trying to learn.


For the main topic, It's as simple as this:

If you aren't going to be here helping people troubleshoot their shitty fish tank grows then don't be telling people to grow in fish tanks, because inevitably we will be the ones helping them figure it out and the likely scenario is that they'll end up giving up on it because it's a romantic idea, but it's ridiculous.  It's about as annoying as if you were in a weed forum and people kept asking about those upside down tomato planters all the time.

Learn to grow well enough that you can get good results in an unmodified mono, and then try the same thing in a fish tank.  Until then, don't bother.  We don't need more fucking air stone fish tank pump contraptions clogging up the flow of good info.  Passive or bust.

Fishtanks should have fish in them...the can grow a few shrooms but are far from ideal...i used them alot.
