I remember back in high school some idiots were using the school library's expensive new high resolution scanners and printers to print off $5-20 bills and then passing them off to other students (buying drugs) and at the cafeteria.

About a month later a couple of Secret Service agents came to the school and those fucktards got in a LOT of trouble.

I saw some of the bills and they actually weren't half bad. They were printing them on really good cotton paper and folding/crinkling them till they were passable.

But doing it at school with the schools equipment was just pure :facepalm:

Same thing happened to me when I played Neil Armstrong in Moonshot. They found me in an alley in Burbank trying to re-enter the earth's atmosphere in an old refrigerator box.

SWIM bleaches one dollar bills and then prints the hundred dollar bills on that paper.

In highschool, my friend made the crappiest fake money and we went to the hood to buy weed with it! Crazy times back then!So we went... We asked for 2 ounces, they told us to come back in ten minutes. When we came back, they handed me a bag that was definitely under an ounce. So I said WTF is this? They responded, just put in in the microwave it will fluff up! I handed him the fake money and we were GONE! Thats what they get for fucking me over in the past!

My friend also used the money to buy 6 grams of coke once! He even wrote "you got fucked!" on one of the bills. It was dark outside so the dealer wouldn't be able to tell they were fake, and the dude invited us inside!!! I was thinkin, shit we are screwed! I had to think quick, so after we went inside and talked to the dude, I told him we left the money in the car... So he came out with us, counted the money, and handed us one of the biggest rocks of coke I have laid my eyes upon. Not big into coke but had one GREAT night and just got rid of the rest

My friend literally copied a 20 dollar bill and printed and bunch of them with a normal printer!!!

I've known a few people who did it for ripping off assholes they knew, but nothing large by any means, except one guy I met who got busted by the FBI hahaha

there are some clever ways to counterfeit though.  The smartest way would take a good bit of investment, and not be worth it unless you were selling the bills off as real to stores/people.  Reason being you have to use say 5 dollar bills to make (easiest to pass off) 20's.  Absorb the ink used for the dollar bill, keep the paper, reprint the bills with the ink you soaked up as a higher amount.  Won't pass if they really inspect it, but they typically won't.

Risk to benefit analysis?  Not even fucking close to worth it

The bills my friend made were SO f-ing fake! but unless you double checked them, it was hard to tell at night. We counted the money right in front of the dude and he even double counted it himself. We were just lucky IMO

Buddy of mine who was selling bud got some fake hundos that he didn't catch.

Dude he picked up off of was like, "Uh, don't worry about the money, as I know $200 means more to you than to me, but you need to be more careful, looks at these serial numbers."

Something along those lines.

I never saw the bills, but apparently they both had the exact same number on them.

Anyway, that's the closest I've ever come to a fake bill (that I know of).

I was locked up with someone that used to make fake money, and my friend got busted with a buncha fake 20s and had the Secret Service go to his house.  With the new inexpensive high quality printers we have now, fake money is a lot more common than it used to be.  You can even buy fake money from some circles.

Once my friend buzzby and I were trying to get this crazy peruvian butt pot from our old gym teacher to impress these chicks, but we were broke so we broke into a copying store and printed out a ton of money. It turned out like one and a half times as big as the originals, but the dealer didn't notice, so we went and smoked with the chicks who got the munchies so we broke into a gas station, found an underground grow room, went back to the girls but they had gone home, the dealer was pissed and almost killed us but the gas station owner stopped him cuz the etymology of his name, we were arrested, and finally our special forces friend got us out of jail so we could grow weed in amsterdam
