Terence McKenna "Rites of Spring" (Or "The Magic of Plants")

This talk by McKenna is mind-blowing. Terence McKenna brings up some absolutely amazing ideas. I think that Terence may be the greatest philosopher of our age.

It is very long, and I had to start it over again after getting 30 minutes in on two separate nights, but it is worth your time.

It won't let me attach the podcast, but it is number 248 in the Psychedelic Salon podcast (part one). I've only listened to the first part (1:18:20, I don't know how many parts that is in the youtube version) but there are 4 parts.

Reeferaddict, you need to check this out. You would love it. At least listen to minutes 30 until 1:10 (in the podcast). He describes a paralel earth where Christianity didn't evolve. It's so interesting.

wow, its not often that i come across another person who has listened to mckenna talks.
rites of spring is one of my favs,even if i cant really remember what was said.
have you heard "around the teaching tree"?
i have most of the TM talks and am always looking for more, do you know of any other sources to download from? other than the salon.

Yeah, I can't wait to listen to the other 4 talks. I just got a digital voice recorder so I put all 4 parts on that and I'm listening to it on my 40 minute bus ride. I haven't heard that talk, I'll look it up now. I get mine from the Salon, I'm not aware of any other places.

Nice meeting another Terence Talk fan.


Edit: Oh nice! I have that one from the Salon already, the subject matter sounds fascinating. I can't wait to listen to it.

i downloaded a whole lot about two years ago but i see the site no longer exists.
i have listened to my collection of talks so many times and each time i find a gem that i had missed before.
