HEPA flow hood assembly, sealant required?
    #1384676 -

Here is a hepa machine. Air flows into the grill, and out the exit.

At first I was very puzzled how I could make a glove box out of this... but I decided the best way would be to mount it in the lid of a sterilite container.
Having no precision tools, I used a simple steak knife and a blow torche to cut the plastic. The HEPA fitted nicely into the hole I had made, but it's not completly perfect. There are gaps, no more than 5 mm riddling the fit.

My question, can I let these gaps be... becuase of the positive blow on the inside of box? Or is it more sinister than I had imagined, that from some obscure liquid dynamics rule would actually suck air in through the path of greater resisance, to the path of least resistance?

help me, PLEASE!

99.97%, do you think that isn't enough?
If I got all contams in an experiment, but they were all the same kind, would that mean something is wrong with the filter, or that something else (substrate, innoculus) was imperfect?
