Whats an protien shake with a good gram/protein ratio?
    #13806756 -

I was planning on buying Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey (32 gram serving with 24 grams protein)

But I'd like to hear any suggestions first.

December 1960:
"They took the drug one evening at Leary's house and had a profound experience, during which Ginsburg prophetically realized that it was a time to start "a peace and love movement". He then ran naked around the house, attempted to get Kruschev and Kennedy on the telephone and announced to the operator that he was God."

Suggestions for protein brands?

I like this stuff made by the company that makes the N.O. Xplode, has the best flavor of any shake I've ever tried + 50g protein/serving

Ingredients: Protein Matrix Comprised of (Whey Protein Concentrate [Milk & Soy], Micellar Casein [Milk & Soy], Whey Protein Isolate [Milk & Soy], Egg Albumen [Egg], Calcium Caseinate [Milk & Soy], Milk Protein Concentrate [Milk & Soy], and Glutamine Peptides [Wheat]), Canola Oil [Milk & Soy], Natural And Artificial Flavors, Maltodextrin, Corn Syrup Solids, Vegetable Gum, Xanthan Gum, Carrageenan, Medium Chain Triglycerides, Sucralose, Papain, Bromelain, and Beta Carotene.

Depends on what you want. I go with GNC mass weight gainer formula. YES a little expensive to people who dont have they money $60 for a huge container. But IF your lifting weights. GNC mass weight gainer is the shit. (no u dont get fat) But for weight lifting its amazing.

Oh and you dont need a 50g protein shake. Your body wont even digest 50gs when you take it. Its a little over the top.

On the high end, if you are a serious athlete working on building muscle mass, your body can process approximately 1g of protein per pound of body weight.  I do quite a bit of triathlon training every day, and use a more realistic 0.75g per pound.  At 135lbs, this means I need around 100g of protein per day.  As a vegan, I don't eat meat or dairy, yet I have no problem finding 100g of protein without resorting to protein shakes.  There is nearly 50g of protein in 3oz of vital wheat gluten.  There is 20g of protein in one cup of fava beans.  For the non-vegetarian, 30g of protein in a 3oz can of tuna or 1oz of lowfat cottage cheese or a roasted chicken breast.  In my opinion, protein shakes are a waste of money... nothing more than a very expensive source calories.

The high end must be pretty high like professional athletes. I work out an hour and play racquetball for 3-4hours after.

This is true if you eat like a beast throughout the day. Some people do. I tend to forget to eat when i should .

I have a problem eating enough to get the required protein i'd like while not feeling obscenely stuffed allll dayyyyy looooong -- which is uncomfortable (not to mention makes working out impossible).

i just cant work out on a full stomach.  or even a half-full stomach for that matter.
