New George Romero Dawn of the Dead?

i heard on the radio this morning that romero is putting out a new dawn of the dead movie. has anyone heard anything on this?

i do too. i did a quick search on google, but could not find anything.

this morning i was listening to a radio show and they had mentioned that there is a trailer or there will be a trailer of a new dawn of the dead from GM.

you know what?  i just realized that the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead wasn't actually done by Romero.  which is a great bit of information to have, because it was pretty goddamn awful.

so wait.  Romero is going to re-do the remake?  how many times can the same goddamn movie be made?

seriously?  the baby twist was just too much.  i loathed the fact that there was a zombie baby birthed.  i've always enjoyed the romero series because it was one of the more realistic and practical cinematic approaches (or at least the first among them) to the zombie infestation. 

the baby birth scene just kinda took it from realistic and practical on over to campy-as-hell b-flick gore.  don't get me wrong.  i love campy b-flick gore.  but i hold the romero series and it's remakes to a higher standard.

Romero needs to give up after Survival of the Dead.  But my guess is that he's going blind and wants to crank out as many movies as he can before he does.

There's no "City of the Dead," do you mean Land of the Dead?  Diary was the one prior to Survival, which is the most recent (2010)
