Mine do this too!!!

My earlobe turned into a fucking throbbing balloon until the doctor puts a hole in it. The first time it happened, the nurse looked at it, closed the door, then told the doctor, "that's the strangest thing I've ever seen."

I never had my ears pierced, either.

That's why you clean them...like every other part of your body. People's feet can smell too and its usually when they aren't wash.

I have a friend who gauged one of his ears to quickly and it tore his ear lobe in half so he has these two dangling things instead of an ear lobe, he cut his other ear lobe in half to match it. 

In my honest opinion I see no aesthetic attraction to gauged ears but really style is ones own choice. It's kind of just something else to pull on when your in a fight with someone.

i have 1/2 inch guages but i dont plan on going any bigger. imo people who go larger than 3/4 end up looking silly for the most part, but to each his own. i'm sure a lot of people think i look silly.

I remember this thread, and was wondering deadhearts, did you even start or anything?

Im currently at a 00g, almost 7/16". I might downsize though as one of my lobes was pierced a little low and thinning out more than i want. Definitely going to go bigger after downsizing.

i used to wear 3/4" gauges. i had 3 blowouts along the way, and one ear completely torn in half. it took me about 3 years or so to go that big, many problems along the way though. i got the two ear flaps pierced seperately so it's all good. my other ear is still at about a half inch or more and it's been 2 years since i've worn anything in it.

in my opinion gauges in your ears are kind of pointless, although fun. but that could be said about any piercing i guess.

and indeed, they do stink, badly.

also speaking of gauges, anyone ever gauge their TONGUE? mine was at a 00g, but i went back down to a 0g. i can still fit it in there. i used to be able to fit pens, pencils, cigarettes, silverware through my tongue. good times.

I'm currently at a 00g, and I think at most I'm gonna go up one more size. Some people like it, some dont. But I could really care less about their opinion if they like it or not. Body modification is a personal preference. It's your body, you do what you want with it.

But to the guy who said he'd rip out an earlobe in a fight, if this ever happened to me, I dont think the ripped ear would even phase me. Only after I caved in your trachea would I realize what happened.

Mine are at half inch. I did it over a two year period cuz I would leave them at one size for a few months before I would decide to stretch them just one size bigger. Then one more size. And another. I love them right now but I'll probably have to take them out soon so I can find a real job. Gonna be a sad day.

I went to get my plugs done on my eighteenth birthday to celebrate almost a full year of sustaining myself and living on my own. It symbolized what I considered my transition into adult-hood by making my own decisions and acquainting myself with survival.
I started off the journey at a 4 gauge and slowly went up in sizes over time. Except for the first piercing on my birthday, I stretched all the sizes myself. The highest gauge I altered into is 00 and is what I'm currently at but I have cycled back and forth in sizes over time.

Thats because some idiot pierced you and fucked you up. Ripped or forced.

You need to wash your ears as often as you wash your asshole. If you don't of course it smells bad. My piercings NEVER smell because I wash them daily with soap and water.

7/16" here, no plans to go larger.  It took me about six months or so to get here, stretching one size every month, except for the ~6months I spent at 00ga before I went to 7/16"  I would go up one more size but they don't make the Ear Skins in the next size up; I'd have to go up two sizes to be able to wear those again and that's getting too big IMO.

I have 18mm in each ear lobe.

They did smell like roten cheese.
But only when i wore jewelry in titanium or cirugical steal.
If you use acrylic,or any other material it doesnt smell...:shrug:

Atleast mine dont.
Theres a cream here for babies rash,that ppl with big gauges use.
We put it once a day in the lobe and it doesnt smell the whole day,even if your wearing steal.
Its called Bépanthene Plus.


PS- I :heart: the smelly cheese of my ears!! Sometimes i miss it when im with acrylic jewelry for too long...
