gonna self pierce my ear(lobe)

just flame sterilize a needle then wipe w/ isopropyl alcohol then push on through and put a sterilized earring in? does this sound good? i don't want to pay a professional to do this if it can be done myself. also, what kind of cleaning regimen should i undertake and for how long? what are the kinds of rules they tell you about caring for the ear until the ring can be taken out w/ no problems?

Just stab it through and rinse it with a sea-salt water solution a couple of times a day. I'm sure you'll survive. If not ... well, the rest of us will have learned a valuable lesson. =)

what type of needle are you using? what type of jewelry are you planning on putting in?

If you want to do this yourself, and you want a good,quality piercing, can I suggest that you buy sterilized needles from bmezine.com and sterilized jewelry from tribaletic.com?

but, if you are planning on using a 20 gauge stud or something, I would suggest not even using a sewing needle and push the stud through your ear. I did both of my ears that way when I was 13. I have successfully stretched both piercings to 3/4".

haha i took my ear from no piercing to a 10 gauge, safety pin to make a hole, nail to gauge it, did it all in a minute, nail hurt like a bitch but its been 4 months and its fully healed =P i forget i even have a peirced ear so its not that much of a thing.. atleast i see my tattoo everyday w/o looking in a mirror =D

i did my eyebrow once and it was easy the pain was the same from start to finish it didnt get any worse i mean but i used to bare nuckel box and it came out one day that time i also had to cut my eye to let the shit oze out so it didnt get infect so they told me

It usually costs less than $10 to have your ear professionally pierced. Why don't you pay to have somebody experienced do it?

when i was 12, i flame sterilized a sewing needle
and had a friend do it up.
didnt hurt much & ive nevr had an infection.
make sure you arent using a cheap earring.

i just bought piercing forceps today actually.
i have plenty sterile syringe needles from the hobby...
..so when im board enough ima put some more holes in my flesh.
