Lol, I was eating raw strawberries and dipping them in whipped cream when I started this thread. Whipped cream does not help.

Raw, unsweetened strawberries are delicious. Most fruits are. You must have gotten a shitty batch.

In my opinion, all grocery store strawberries are turds. They're big, loaded with water, frequently hollow, probably gas ripened during transit, and have zero taste.

If you grow some strawberries (all you do is plant them, and they proliferate like weeds), or buy some tiny red ones from a farmers market, they are amazingly delicious, really soft and sweet.
