I'm looking for a subwoofer, tips?

#13556979 - 11/29/10 01:32 PM (15 years, 10 months ago)

I want to find a subwoofer that I can use with my computer speakers, hopefully one that doesn't involve an amp (since I don't have one). As of right now, I have two studio monitors (alesis m1active 520s) hooked up to my laptop.

I have narrowed it down to three active subwoofers:JBL LSR2310SP Powered Studio Subwoofer, M-Audio SBX10, or the BX10S.

I want to stay under $500. Do any of these look good? I am relatively new to audio game. Or if you guys have any better recommendations please go ahead. I picked those, especially, because they have XLR inputs (my speakers have XLR so it just makes it easier) unless theres an easy solution?

Thanks
