caring way too much about looks and physical attractiveness

i'm way more kind to ugly people than hot people. i feel bad society judges their value as so low. and they totally appreciate me being kind to them whereas many hot people don't give a fuck because they feel entitled to it so it goes to a black hole in their head.

i feel like attractiveness is not the substance, just the icing on the cake..

but everybody cares so much about it, it kind of worries me because i feel like there is supposed to be more to it than that.

not saying i'm not hypnotized by a pretty face smiling at me but thats because i really appreciate beauty. i feel like most people don't appreciate beauty or attractiveness at all :sad:

I think if you live healthy and are fit than its pretty much impossible to be ugly as your usefullness to society is a very beautiful thing.

I think there is a lot more to attraction then physical appearance.  Yes it helps initially, but I know some smoking hot girls who I would never want anything to do with.

Whereas for example, there is one girl I am friends with who might not be the prettiest girl in the world, but when she smiles at me all my cares go away and I feel good for at least the next hour.

edit: More on topic, I try to treat almost all the people I meet the same regardless of looks, although I will find myself more inclined to start a conversation with a pretty girl I don't know at a party as opposed to an ugly one.

i know i should treat everyone the same, as individuals, but sometimes i find myself resentful and prejudiced against hot people. i just hate how everyone isn't treated as an individual, we're all valued according to how we stack up to society's measuring stick and i guess i'm like trying to reverse-karma it or some shit ha

I don't care about fatties as much as I care about hot chicks.  I think if I were to see an execution video of Al Qaeda killing a fatty I would probably shrug my shoulders and say meh.  Then if I saw a video of one of them killing a hot girl with a nice rack, tight body and long brown hair I would get very mad. 


I guess that goes to your point but I'm still not going to change my way of thinking.

I'm not overly judgemental, but if someone is morbidly obese/doesn't even try to take care of themselves it signals to me that they don't really care about themselves and I am less inclined to care about them either.

I don't think physical appearance are everything by any means, but you do communicate something about yourself through your physical appearance. Like it or not... at least try to make a decent impression. You know?

Being good looking isn't as fun as you would think.

Girls are to intimidated to talk to me. And I'm to shy to talk to them. being shy and good looking gives everyone the impression that you are just stuck up or to good for anyone.

Just like how you said ugly people get treated extra nice its kinda the opposite for attractive people.

I've noticed how ugly people usually have funner personalities because everyone is more relaxed and comfortable around them. And they just throw off the I don't give a shit what you think vibe.
