Are any of you going through Chiropractic care? What kind? What has been your experience?
I am seeing a network spinal chiropracter and I *think* it has helped me but am still skeptical! He barely touches me. It is not like a spine cracking regular chiro. I do feel better but it just doesn't make that much sense to me. It's been over 3 weeks at 3X a week.

what a ripoff. just learn some stretching techinques and/or yoga.
I have lower back trouble used to go to a chiro on a regular basis until I learned how to take care of the problem without having to pay $60 a visit.

LOL. My insurance is paying for it luckily. I was in a car accident. I do yoga but thought free chiropractic was definitley worth a try.

I'm not complaining! I'm just wondering if it's actually working. It's hard to tell.

some things chiros do are effective some things are only temporary relief
the things that work involve stretching everything else is just temporary relief.
so with that said, it's a ripoff but if its free - it could be fun.
now quit your complaining

I went to a chiropractor every couple of weeks for a year after a car accident. Luckily I wasn't paying for it, as they didn't do shit for me. I must say that the warm gel massages were nice though...

I got into a little scuffel and had my lower spine bent out of place. Couldnt run for well over a year. Went to the chiropractor once a week, and he used his knee to straighten out my back. Took a few years, but everythings fine now. Personally I despise chiropractors.

Chiropractic care is crap. My mother used to go to one and I hurt my back lifting so I decided to see what would happen. The chiropractor started explaining to me what she was doing, and it was all mumbo-jumbo new-age junk. I told her how my back hurt and if it could have been a sprain or a problem with the disk. (at the time I thought chiropractors were semi-doctors) She assured me that the same 5 sec. cracking she does to every single one of her customers would cure my problem. When i tried to explain my injury she said something like, "When I move these bones into place your life force will be able to flow again, you will think clearer, and feel better, the energy will flow thorughout your body!".
What a kook.

I think I need to visit a chiropracter, I have a sharp pain in my lower left rib cage and I think its a muscle I pulled from coughing really hard. It would probably get better if I stopped smoking pot and stopped coughing but thats just not an option. It hurts really bad and takes a few weeks to go away. I had this before after I got pneumonia, I dunno if a chiropractor could actually help but I would love to at least try and make it go away.

The same 5 second cracking she is doing is called an adjustment. She is fixing the vertebral subluxation in your spine (pinched nerves).. Now the theory of chiropractic alligning your spine and resolving subluxations has been proven... The psychological, new-aged bullshit she's trying to pull, is garbage IMHO... The reason people feel DISSATISFIED with chiropractors is because they don't realize the concept of healing. Healing takes TIME.
And no, I am not a chiropractor

i think the main problem with chiropracters is that the care will only work if you continue to go to them... I've met people who used to go to chiropracters and then stopped going - only to find that their original problems got worse. i guess i haven't really studied the topic enough to give an opinion worth listening to, but i think that daily yoga is more than enough to keep the average person feeling great!

Lol subluxation, i wonder why the only people in the world who use that term are chiros? Maybe it is because chiropractory was invented by a crock known for hoaxes who pulled everything about the profession out of his ass.

So I got a scan last night after 11 chiropractic sessions over about 3 weeks and the scan showed a ton of change. I am sticking with it. It doesn't hurt that my chiropracter is a cutie either.

They an EMG scan that measures the muscle tone and skin temperature along your spine. Mine has vastly improved. I think shroomin helps too. Seriously.

My father is a chiropractor, and I can assure you that what he does isn't a hoax. I'm pretty sure that the thousands of patients he has had would also disagree with you, since almost every single one of his patients found out about him through word of mouth.
Are all chiropractors good?....no...just like there are shitty medical doctors. But when it comes to healing the body without drugs or surgery, in many instances chiropractors are the answer.

Chiropractory can help people i agree and it does feel good. However that does not change the fact that it was founded on a lie and was intented to rob people of their money.
Although some chiropractors accept this and still practice although not based on the idea of correcting subluxations. These type of chiropractors are respectable as it seems plausible that manipulating the spine and surrounding muscles can relieve back and other types of local pain.
As for curing diseases, quackary.
What kind of chrio is your dad, the respectable kind or a quack?

I guess that would depend on your definition of Quackery...
..if by "quack" you mean he helps people and cures them of chronic pain, by using unorthidox medicine/methods...then yes he is a quack....and probably one of the most respected and sought after men in his field. Much of the time, not even charging for his services...

I started seeing a chiropractor a couple months ago due to subluxation of the l4-l5 vertebrae. I was in chronic pain for almost a year straight and became dependent on kratom. Seeing a chiropractor was the best decision. I was having all sorts of pain and stomach issues. I started noticing relief after 3 weeks, and now at 2 months I'm practically pain free most days. Still see him once a week for mow, then I'll most to every other week and so forth. For me, it turned my life around again and I'm off kratom too. Good luck!
