What's up gentleman. I have downloaded a shitload of different stuff since I last posted here.

I have Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gong, ELP, T2 (pretty good old prog/hard rock stuff), Cerberus Shoal and I suddenly decided to get some Uriah Heep for some reason.

I haven't listened to much of it yet but I intend to soon. Sadly I'm running out of ganja :frown:

Akira, I couldn't find this Nothing by Nothing. If you have a download link, I'd sure appreciate it.

The Mars Volta is my favorite. Omar's stuff is good as well.
I have been kind of down since the departure of Thomas Pridgen, I just don't think that guy can be matched.
Used to love ATDI. never took to Sparta.
Volta is where it's at.

As for Psychedelic rock, I listen to mostly old 70's stuff (older Pink Floyd and Genesis type stuff), but for newer I will listen to bands like The Black Angels and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

As for Progressive bands, Tool of course. Been listening to the Red Sparowes lately, really like them.

Yeah Red Sparowes is really tasty stuff, if you have the patience for it. The lap steel makes it fantastic.

Guys I have to tell you, I'm a great fan of this site and thread. Pretty much I'm a huge Omar R-L. myself. Although I'm a bit disappointed b/c no one has mentioned Se Dice Bisonte, No Búfalo !! Aside, I'd like to point out for those of you interested in progressive/ psychedelic stuff the genre of fusion (any type really) is a great place to start, Mars Volta and Omar R-L.'s stuff is nothing more than Latin Fusion. Further, I'd like to mention a progressive-fusion-jam-band that is doing it best Garaj Mahal.

Take care friends!

The DJ is super talented. And Del is always an interesting lyricist.
