I had a horrible stutter until I moved to a new city when I was 11 years old. After that it suddenly got alot better, and a few years later was almost completely gone.

Before that I'd been through all kinds of speech therapy, never worked for me. I guess being in a totally new environment just sort of let me reinvent myself :shrug:

I'm still deathly afraid of public speaking though. And am a generally pretty shy, quiet, and socially anxious person, which I think may have something to do with growing up with a stutter.

Can't believe how cruel some of those kids were in grade school.

I kinda stutter sometimes. I always think ahead of what I am gonna say and I get mixed up in my words. :shrug:

my friend's brother can't speak more than a couple words at a time (he's 32).

i get bothered with myself just for saying um when speaking.

My probation officer is a horrible stutterer.  He goes full out retard in the middle of sentences making all these weird noises like a retarded person.

I had a friend who used to stutter really badly in 3rd-5th grade. He became very racist because black classmates always used to mock him. Anyway, I just started going to college and found out he is in my E-110. He has no stutter whatsoever. I think it's like Tourette's it gets better with age usually.

i used to stutter when i was younger..

i dont do it now, unless someone else stutters in my immediate proximity, in which case it takes me an hour or more to stop it sometimes..

hearing someone stutter clicks something in my brain and makes me do it
